Lately it's about once a month I spite demat a dog because the owners are willfully ignorant and just choose not to see the fucking problem their neglect causes.

I can do it if the dog's cool about it and I get to charge double cause people have more money than sense. And then they get a 'do not demat' note and I never put in any effort to save coat on their dog ever again.

I have A. Lot. of new doodles wanting to stay in really long clips even as they get their adult coat.

These are both sheepadoodles. Rally and Benny, in 1 1/2 and 2 inch haircuts, respectively, but are in the same all over shape.

Both their parents are doing a good job brushing between appointments and they're on rebook schedules. But they also still had matting so I'm honestly torn because the end result looks great but it's already more demat than I usually allow and I only demat so many times before the clip has to change.

Nellie lost her underline due to matting but I really like the look.

Murray's mom was "just sick to death" of people asking her what kind of doodle he was so we're shifting him into the wheaten breed clip.

Okay we are getting there!

Her fall is coming in really well and I brought her underline waaay up.

It's not perfect and that's a six month old puppy but I am really happy with the improvement both in the result from me and behavior from her. She hopped up on the table on her own for her finish work :)

One of my old clients got a new bouvier puppy! Her name is Nellie and her ears are natural! Seriously, when she called I got off the phone and straight up yelled "Batia's mom finally got a fucking puppy" across the whole damn shop.

So, since this is the first time in more than three years that I've attempted this breed clip I don't feel too terrible about the result. I really wish I'd brought her underline up and need her fall to grow in (mom cut it off at home) but the lower head shape/beard area turned out really well. I wish I could have gotten a picture with her mouth closed but I can only ask so much of her.

I'm super psyched I have the chance to perfect this cause I know they'll keep her in the breed standard.

These are some double coated dogs I unashamedly gave full haircuts. None are shorter than 7/8 of an inch. And I think they all look pretty great :) the aussie is one of my favorites cause his coloring is just fucking stunning and he's the sweetest dog.
