Funny how people often save us from the mess around us. How they hold our hand and pull us out from everything. How they make us feel like we can be truly, infinitely happy. And when we thought that finally, we are a part of their world, that’s when they let go of our hand and make us feel truly, completely alone.

There are years to recieve kindness, and years to affectionately return it.

Sometimes it feels good to take the long way home.

She looks sad. She looks angry. She looks different from everyone else I know—she cannot put on that happy face others wear when they know they are being watched. She doesn’t put on a face for me, which makes me trust her somehow.
