kyle can’t die because the narrative loved him too much, it still has plans for him, but he can’t stay the same with how fast things are changing around him. he has to metamorphose, crawling out of his skin all bloodied and feeling naked and exposed in front of everyone he ever knew because no one has EVER done what he has done. he’s the last of the green lanterns, and what a burden to carry
