Today marks 20 years since the birth of a franchise that would change many of our lives forever. When we each played our first Pokemon game, we had no clue that it would become such an influential part of our lives. However, many years later, here we are, as a community, anxiously awaiting more details on the upcoming 7th generation games (Sun and Moon) and celebrating the 20th birthday of one of the most beloved game series ever. And to help celebrate, It’s my honor to give away some shiny forms of the most iconic Pokemon from the original games!

instead of the donating to the salvos, donate to your independent, local women’s refuge. women’s refuges are more nurturing + inclusive, and are built on feminist principles. refuges run by corporate charities tend to be dangerous mixed gender refuges where resources are spread thin. smaller charities also struggle to compete for government funding against huge religious groups.

hey lovelies! so, as i’m sure many of you already know, i’m in a long distance relationship with my love caitlin, and we have been trying to save up money for trips to meet each other since last winter. unfortunately, life circumstances have proven extremely difficult, and saving money has been challenging for both of us. so i’m asking for your help, if you’re willing to give it.

the holidays are coming up, and honestly all i want for christmas is money to help pay for my eventual trip to england so i can finally visit caitlin. we’ve known each other for a year and a half now and have been dating almost as long and we just want to be able to spend time together in person. we love each other so much and having the opportunity to meet and be with one another would mean a lot to us.

hey guys, i really need your help

one of my best friends is in desperate need of housing and she’s running out of options. her name is lauren and she’s trans, queer, and low income, so finding safe and affordable housing has unfortunately been fruitless so far. recently, she was unexpectedly forced to vacate her former home and needs to find secure and permanent housing as soon as possible. lauren is currently staying with my girlfriend and her husband at their apartment and they are both working hard to help her find suitable housing, but we could all use some help in helping her. if any of you lovely humans live in the seattle area and are looking for a roommate, are open to having one, or know someone who would be happy to have lauren live with them, please let me know as soon as you can. she has little to no options outside of what she might be able to find in the next week or so, and she is getting scared. so please, if you can help in any way, reply to this post or send me an ask and i’ll get back to you promptly. thank you! <3

UPDATE: lauren still really needs to find permanent housing. she’s been staying with her partner off and on for a few days at a time and with my girlfriend and her husband on the other days, but this is only a temporary solution. not having a secure place to live is stressing lauren out a lot and i’m very worried about her. so please please *please* send me, my girlfriend, or her husband a message if you think you can help in any way. we’re all at the end of our rope. :(
