how to live in the moment â¨
- consciously take deeper breaths, turn off your phone, relax your body, get up to drink water and recognise unhelpful thoughts if youâre living on autopilot.
- notice and appreciate whatâs around you. see art and poetry in all things.
- when you go on a walk, feel the warmth of sun on your face, notice things no one else notices.
- carry a journal everywhere to record little thoughts, drawings, tickets and memories.
- do not think everyone is judging you, because they arenât. donât let something little ruin your whole day. donât take anything to heart.
- stop unconsciously searching for proof from the world that youâre not good enough. you will seem to find it everywhere. but you are good enough and loveable, you always have been.
- remember what youâre thankful for and let that make you happy for the whole day.
- remember what youâre excited for if youâre feeling sad and your future seems grey.
- appreciate your talents and achievements. donât quickly brush them off. someone admires you.
- donât stare at the ground, and smile more, even though no one sees.
- if you are procrastinating, choose a small task and stick to it. when youâre completing one task, do not worry about others.
- when spending time with people, be grateful for their presence, and listen with all your attention, and make them feel good about themselves.
- feel everything, do not bottle thoughts up, and be aware when youâre having a burnout or getting bad again, so you can focus on resting and feeling better.
