well. donald hoobler + i have autism = hooblerism. but also like i refer to things as “isms” a lot so that’s mostly where the ism comes from

2. what movie have you watched most recently? what did you think of it?

according to letterboxd it was newsies LOL but that was like over a month ago now. i love newsies 1992 it’s one of my favorite movies ever, so i always love it. i’ve been watching more shows than movies recently. expedition unknown, twd, bofb, etc.

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

i was looking forward to getting to go shopping for my birthday, but the air quality has pretty much destroyed that plan, so i’m not sure lol. hopefully i’ll find something to be excited about today. sorry that’s like extra grouchy but im just not feeling the joy today LOL

4. if you could do anything at all today what would it be?

i’m not feeling too hot, so i guess my no1 thing to do when i feel bad: play fallout 4

5. what’s your drink of choice?

usually water, but it depends on what i’m doing. i get the butter bear iced coffee or the iced campfire latte from biggbys, the watermelon strawberry drink from mcdonald’s (tho that one’s funky sometimes), and various kinds of gas station drinks. it’s been berry propel recently cuz of the heat but i drink a lot of monster. tho… the limited edition flavor i like is like gone now…

6. what’s your hair routine? anything special?

nothing special, honestly. i wash my hair every other day with cheap walmart shampoo & conditioner, nothing fancy

7. what’s your favorite way to travel? is there a mode of travel you’ve never done that you want to?

road trips! i love riding in the car and seeing stuff, it’s great. i’ve never traveled anyway but car (unless school bus counts as something different), and i’d like to fly in any kind of plane for the first time. oh and trains. i’d love to travel via train someday

8. favorite month and why?

october or november, i LOVE fall and when it’s bleeding into winter, it’s the best. and hello, halloween?

9. favorite time of day and why?

night time, like middle of the night. nobody expects anything of me in the middle of the night. it’s like… freeing.

10. do you play or follow any sports?

i used to play softball for… a year… lol. and i just very recently got into soccer (football) but i don’t avidly follow any sports

11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?

a lot of folk country music, for some reason. i blame my dad

12. dishes or laundry?

laundry hands down. i actually like doing laundry, i hate doing dishes

13. what’s something you learned recently?

a whole bunch of stuff from expedition unknown- but i’ve learned a bit about world war ii planes and various kinds of american gangs (like the barrow gang, the reno gang, and the ruggles brothers)

14. if you could give a ted talk on anything, what would you talk about?

i mean i have quite literally given a presentation about the dyatlov pass incident before so i guess that! i could talk about it for hours lol

15. what’s a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

don’t give up. i tell myself and everyone this, when they’re struggling. it’s a hard road and you want to give up at every turn, but it’ll always work out in the end

16. what’s a piece of advice you’d give yourself five years ago?

nothing lasts forever, you just have to weather the storm. he’ll be gone one day (<- positive)

17. do you believe in luck or superstition? do you carry any lucky items or follow any?

honestly, not really. past ghosts, which i do believe in. i think my dead family is still with me, in their own ways, and that they show themselves when i need them

18. are you musical (play any instruments or sing)? would you ever perform for an audience?

yes! i can play the alto saxophone. i’d love to pick it back up, since i used the school one before i graduated, and dont own one :( but hopefully one day i will. and i have performed for audiences! i had a couple solos during my band performances and i was really proud of them!

19. write, type, or speak?

writing & typing definitely. i’m not a horrible speaker but i stutter through my sentences a lot and struggle with words sometimes. writing & typing i excel at

20. what do you wish someone would ask you?

anything, i guess. i can talk about pretty much everything so… just depends.

Two of my names, Cassian and Achilles!! Achilles is self-explanatory, but as for Cassian, I’m named after Cassian Andor, AKA Kassa, which is how I got that nickname! Kassa + Achilles = Kassachilles

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?

I rewatched The Fall Guy the other night and I still love it!!

3. What are you looking forward to right now?

I’m partway through an episode of House MD, so getting back to that is pretty great!! My Dad and I are planning to watch PHM this weekend to celebrate the anniversary of the Moon Landing and I’m hopefully going thrifting with my Mama soon!

4. If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

That’s a very hard question uhhh

Go on a road trip with my friends, family, f/os, etc ig?? And uhm. Go to Normandy? Idk I’m pretty happy with what I’m doing already

5. What’s your drink of choice?

It GREATLY varies but rn I want cold bottled water with the orange flavouring stuff in it

6. What’s your hair routine? Anything special?

I wash it when I remember to/have motivation to shower. Sometimes I’ll condition it. Every once in a while I’ll ask one of my parents to brush it

7. What’s your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel that you’ve never done that you want to?

Train or road trip, DEFINITELY. Been on a train twice (round trip) and I loveeeee road trips, but that’s about it. I’ve never been on a plane and it sounds like a nightmare, but I’d like to try it at some point! I’ve been on two boats (river boat and then a swamp tour) and I am TERRIFIED of being on the water for long periods of time, but I do also feel a very strong call to the ocean (I was probably a pirate in a past life) and I want to be on a ship soooo bad

March bc temperature and Spring, June bc Pride, October bc Halloween and temperature and favourite season, December bc cozy and Christmas and birthday

9. Favourite time of day and why?

Night. I was built to be nocturnal. I feel so ME at night, I don’t feel obligated to talk to people, it’s just. Amazing (also just checked the time and HOLY SHIT ITS ONLY 10:17??? 😭😭)

I played football (soccer) in third grade and volleyball in seventh! I miss volleyball so bad ughhhh

And no I don’t follow any but I like hearing/reading about it and my friends talking about f1 is fun to witness

Uhhh idk but I discovered new kintypes and some REALLY weird shit about my canons as those kintypes

I don’t know but I love talking about the Newsboys Strike of 1899, WWII, Greek mythology, and a whole lot more

15. What’s a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

I don’t really give advice unless it’s like. Specific to the situation, but I tell people I’m here for them a lot (because I am, I love my friends and will always support them if I can)

16. What’s a piece of advice you would give yourself five years ago?

Be yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks. Don’t hide who you are just so people will like you more. If they leave you for being yourself, they don’t deserve you anyway, and you will heal and be okay. No matter what happens, no matter who leaves or lies or hurts you, you will be okay and you will always, always be loved.

17. Do you believe in luck or superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any?

Kinda? I’m spiritual and don’t want to risk it

I do avoid stepping on cracks, but that may be related to my neurodivergence in some way

I don’t really carry lucky items, but I carry items that comfort me and make me feel safe

18. Are you musical (play any instruments or sing)? Would you ever perform for an audience?

YES I am a musical theatre kid, actor, singer, future bass player, and I have performed many times and intend to start a band!!

A reenactor, specifically a historical reenactor

That the French slang Gene uses towards Guarnere in Bastogne (“ I just don’t have any penicillin for your biroute ”) is southern French slang, northern French slang is biloute.

Definitely psychotraumatology,,, specifically with post war veterans.

Honestly? I don’t know,, maybe just to get over things? Though I don’t think that’s advice.

Don’t let others judgement get you down. It doesn’t matter what other people think, just be yourself.

I believe in luck and random superstitions as a way to explain some things I guess?

As a theatre kid, I love performing! I love being able to get out there and put on a show for people!

I watched obsession recently, it was amazing, I love psychological horror.

3. What’re you looking forward to?

I have a performance tomorrow that I'm very excited about. On a grander scale I'm excited to be moving away within the next 2 years.

4. If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

Well seeing as it's currently 11:47 pm right now, I'd go to bed. Tomorrow, though? Somehow, see Jeremy jordan perform live and then perform myself in the same day.

Two showers a day, shampoo and conditioner once, then a leave in conditioner thing.

I have never traveled but I really want to, I want to go on a train eventually.

June, I like pride month, I like the warm weather, it's statistically the most common month to find snakes as well, which I like.

Morning, specifically when the sun is a quarter of the way up, I love seeing the sunlight beam in through my window in the morning.

Unless you count theater no, I used to run cross country though, if you count that.

It's all newsies, like all newsies + "one day ill fly away" on repeat from moulin rouge

Laundry forever, the feeling of food oil on my skin is the worst experience on earth

I learned how ionic bonds are formed through dehydration synthesis, and can be separated through hydrolysis (or the removal or addition of water to atoms)

14. If you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?

The importance of moths to the environment and the usage of the words "pest" and "weed" towards certain important living things simply because they are ugly

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

Often I have to tell people to listen to themselves and what they want, it's pretty common that people will ask me what I'd do in a situation and I have to reply with "what would you tell someone else to do?" A lot

Don't give up, things get better

PREFORMING MY LOVE!! I play piano, guitar, ukulele, and kalimba (don't laugh) and I absolutely adore singing. My dream is to be a Broadway preformer someday, so yes, I'd absolutely perform for an audience

I'm a good writer, and I used to do my friends typing homework, but my skills are best used in speech for sure.

I wish people would ask to talk to me more, I can't start conversations to save my life (although in everyone's defense I have a bad habit of just not replying....)

I’ve seen different interpretations on how these two would first interact whenever Simon wakes up, so I’m tossing up my own finalized idea. Simon is just immediately scared and pleads for his life. After everything he’s physically been through and with how drugged up he was, he can hardly move. He’s stuck on the bed and only able to speak and cry. Which inevitably causes Ryland to breakdown himself as his last moments of earth replay in his mind. He understands exactly how Simon feels but can’t do anything to help. He just has to standby to be sure Simon doesn’t hurt himself. The chaos only ending whenever Simon runs out of energy and falls asleep. He virtually doesn’t speak to Ryland again for days. As well as avoids making any eye contact as much as possible. Going as far to even refuse to look at his face. He’s simply too afraid. If he can’t see his face, he can momentarily pretend he isn’t there.

So naturally their relationship isn’t good. But what about Rocky and Simon? Wellll

-there is no shame in being introduced to mytholgy from something like percy jackson, epic the musical or anything like that, but keep in mind that actual myths are going to be VERY different from modern retellings

-the myth of medusa you probably know (her being a victim of poseidon and being cursed by athena) isn't 100% accurate to GREEK mythology (look up ovid)

-there is no version of persephone's abduction in which persephone willingly stays with hades, that's a tumblr invention (look up homeric hymn to demeter)

-as much as i would like it, no, cerberus' name does not mean "spot" (probably a misunderstanding from this wikipedia article)

-zeus isn't the only god who does terrible things to women, your fav male god probably has done the same

-on that note, your fav greek hero has probably done some heinous shit as well

-gods are more complicated than simply being "god of [insert thing]", many titles overlap between gods and some may even change depending on where they were worshipped

-also, apollo and artemis being the gods of the sun and the moon isn't 100% accurate, their main aspects as deities originally were music and the hunt

-titans and gods aren't two wholly different concepts, titan is just the word used to decribe the generation of gods before the olympians

-hector isn't the villain some people make him out to be

-hephaestus WAS married to aphrodite. they divorced. yes, divorce was a thing in ancient greece. hephaestus' wife is aglaia

-ancient greek society didn't have the same concepts of sexuality that we have now, it's incorrect to describe virgin goddesses like artemis and athena as lesbians, BUT it's also not wholly accurate to describe them as aromantic/asexual, it's more complex than that

-you can never fully understand certain myths if you don't understand the societal context in which they were told

-myths have lots and lots of retellings, there isn't one singular "canon", but we can try to distinguish between older and newer versions and bewteen greek and roman versions

-most of what you know about sparta is probably incorrect

-reading/waching retellings is not a substitute to reading the original myths, read the iliad! read the odyssey! i know they may seem intimidating, but they're much more entertaining than you may think
