What songs do you associate with your historical faves?

Generally, I have noticed that people tend to associate certain songs with their favorite characters or their OCs. Or their historical faves, as you put it. But for some reason, this practice never spoke to me.

I can't associate songs with my historical faves, though there were times where I felt "hey, this specific part fits x for reasons y and v and I could create an assorted animatic", but only about "that" part of the song, not the entirety of it.

The closest thing to an answer I can give is the song "sinking town", which went viral on TikTok last summer, because many of us empathize with the tragedy that befalls our favorite characters. Well, in my mind, I was thinking of creating an animatic using the refrain to feature either Themistocles or Timoleon the Corinthian, the latter of which I came to know thanks to Archaeostoryteller from Instagram (and from his new book). But for Themistocles specifically, I was thinking of presenting his life in 4 acts• in the first act, the Battle of Salamis has occured and Themistocles has been crowned victor for his contribution, in the second act, he has become friends with the Spartan Pausanias, who happily showcases him his Persian attire, in the third act, he receives the news of his ostracization and he is upset that the Athenians have exiled him after everything he had done for them and in the fourth act, he seeks shelter at the Persian court, with a final act showing his wearing Persian robes and missing his home.

I probably will create it someday, even though the trend is dead now.

ΚΑΛΩ ΟΛΑ ΤΑ ΠΑΙΔΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΘΕΩΡΗΤΙΚΗΣ!

First ever attempt at trying alight motion and it shows. Anyways, regarding the video, Theramenes and Kritias were two ancient Athenian (assholes) politicians at the end of 5th century BC. They used to be ~close friends~ until they had a major falling due to political differences (Kritias was an extreme oligarch, whereas Theramenes was a more moderate one). Long story short, Kritias erased Theramenes' name from the list of the 30 Tyrants and forced him to drink poison. Theramenes last words were "to the beautiful Kritias" (I'm not gonna write them in Ancient Greek).

The primarily reason why everyone knows them is because every Greek student had that passage in high school and because their falling was the classical case of "friends/lovers to enemies"
