“We should not be doing this.” Wolf objected with a frown but made no move to walk away from the door he currently had his ear to.
“Hey, if you feel so bad about it then go eat dinner.” Fox offered.
“You're telling me the two of you don't feel the least bit bad about spying on our teammates?” Wolf demanded in a whisper.
“Well, I did at first. But when I realized that they were doing this where I have to lay my head down at night I got over it. I mean who has sex in a shared tent?” Cub explained.
Wolf considered the boy's words before pressing his head further towards the door to listen better.
“Eagle, I swear to every God there is if you don't start moving I'm gonna make you.”
“You don't tell me what to do you're on the bottom. I'm on the top that automatically makes me in charge.”
“You got top last week it's my turn!”
“And I told you I nearly threw my back out the last time you made me bottom. It's too rough.”
“Getting too old to handle what I throw at you soldier?”
Eagle laughed sarcastically.
“Absolutely not. It's not my ass that's still sore from the last time we had to fight about our sleeping arrangements.”
“Oh, my God. They've done this more than once.” Fox replied shocked.
“Eagle and Snake have never really appeared to be dating. Or even just shagging.” Cub pointed out.
“Well, they do argue like an old married couple. But then again so do the two of you. Fox, tell me you aren't defiling our little Cub.” Wolf said mockingly
Fox and Cub both turned to him with disgusted glares.
"He's 15, Wolf!" Fox admonished.
"That's wrong on so many different levels." Cub muttered.
Their musings were cut off as noises inside the tent began to get louder.
“Damn it, Eagle. That's it. I'm tired of fucking around with you. Get.Off.”
Then repeated thumps, bangs, creaking beds and questionable groans emanated from the tent causing Fox, Wolf and Cub to get horrified looks on their faces.
“Protect the innocent ears!” Fox cried as he tackled Alex to the ground and shoved his hands over both of the kid's ears.
Wolf stepped over his two accomplices and entered the tent.
“Alright, I don't know what the bloody hell you two think-”
He stopped short of at the sight. Snake and Eagle were definitely entwined but the embrace was not the least bit romantic or passionate. A fully dressed Eagle and Snake were in an all out brawl on the top bunk of the bunk beds.
“It's mine. Get off me you maniac!”
The bunk beds. They were arguing over who got the top bunk bed. Wolf's outburst caused Eagle and Snake to pause their roughhousing and look up questioning at the scene outside the door of the tent; Fox struggling to keep Cub's ears covered and Wolf standing dumbly in the doorway.
“What's going on?” Eagle asked.
“You two idiots are fighting over bunk beds?” Wolf demanded.
“Yeah? What'd you think we were fighting about?”
“We thought you two were in here fu-” Cub tried to get out only to have Fox shove his hand over his mouth.
“Nothing. We didn't think anything.” Fox replied firmly.
Eagle and Snake looked back at each other and shrugged. Then Eagle used his body and shoved his weight into Snake knocking him off the top bunk and onto the floor.
“I win again!” Eagle shouted.
“You always win.” Snake replied with a roll of his eyes as he slowly threw himself onto the lower bunk.
“And don't you forget it, mate.” Eagle said as he snuggled down in the comforts of his top bunk with a light sigh.
