when i was a small child my dad bought me a tank of tropical fish, which i was not very good at caring for on account of being a small child. this was no problem to my dad because he didnt live with me so the pet care duties fell to my mom, who did not ask for nor approve of suddenly having a tank of tropical fish. to this day i wonder if this was an earnest attempt to bond or an elabrate prank my dad was playing on his ex. proxy war mind games via your child and an unfortunate betta fish named kaito stuck in the crossfire. much to think about.
