My mom recently moved out of my childhood home into an apartment half way across the country. Before she moved she had to downsize from a 3,000 sq. ft. home to a 2 bedroom apartment-- which needed to be done! She asked me what she should do with my dad's old slides, so one night we took out the projector and looked at a few of them. What we found could give you a lump in your throat. I decided I would keep them and slowly scan them and do something with the images (more on that later). While scanning images yesterday I came across an image that looked so familiar... I had taken it!! Well, I didn't take it.. but my dad and I took the same photo 42 years apart. It's not like it's Yosemite Valley or some well-known landmark... it's a beautiful valley on a road that not many people go on. So I thought it was pretty amazing and I had to share the side by side here.
