Now, in the beginning, I was mad about black Westerosi nobles because I didn't know too much about Game of Thrones lore. I knew that, ethnically, Westerosi people are nearly always white (with the exception of the Dornish) and were never Black. You can understand why such a lapse in canon would bother me. But after rewatching House of the Dragon, I was reminded that House Velaryon is not from Westeros, but hails from Old Valyria—which was in Essos. Per Game of Thrones canon, Black people DO ethnically come from Essos, so realistically a Valyrian noble house could easily have been Black. Everyone who says Corlys Velaryon shouldn't have been played by a Black man in House of the Dragon is just a racist piece of shit, confirmed.

EDIT: I've realized a few things. I still don't want to be associated with people who identify as xenogenders, but they don't bother me anymore. I understand that sometimes your gender doesn't feel like man or woman but fluffy and soft. I don't understand it, but I'm alright with it. Compared to transids, which I recently learned about, xenogenders do not bother me. I'm gonna leave this post up so other people who thought like I did might reconsider.

Interesting question. Very random. I've never thought about this, but I think he's probably not. When he chops down his first tree and summons the Lorax, he doesn't even notice the huge beam of light and the thunder. When the Lorax asks if he saw it, he says no and asks if the Lorax can show him. He shows no fear, only curiosity about lightning. I don't think he's scared of it, but I would love to hear your perspective and why you might think he is.

If you can't tell, Greed is holding a thneed here, which I think just looks so cool in this frame. This is probably the worst sketch I've posted so far but I'm still making progress on the movie-accurate style, lol. Hope y'all enjoy!

Ooo, I love this one. In my opinion, Onceler and Pip-Squeak's relationship is pretty fun and sweet and it really should've gotten more screen time in the movie. I love how he just cuddles him like a teddy bear in that one scene (you know which scene) and I think they're so adorable together! I don't think Onceler was EXTREMELY protective over Pip-Squeak, like he wouldn't be like, YUP, this is MY baby, do NOT touch him under ANY circumstance or I will have to END you, but I agree he's totally like a dad with that protective instinct in many of the scenes.

Personally, I 100% think Greedler should be top. Oncie is so twinkish and naive and frickin' adorable, and Greed feels much more mature and just generally like the boss. I respect, but don't understand people that think Oncie is top, lol. The dynamic works so much better when you think about how Greed literally IS the boss, at least of his company. Just seems right that he should also be the boss of Oncie 😉. He just seems more domineering while Oncie seems much more submissive. Also, Greed totally dresses like a pimp lol

Schizophrenic breaks happen in the mid to late 20s, which is how old Reid would've been at the time. Schizophrenia is in his genetics since his mother had it, so it would make sense if he suffered a break. What if, in the end of a particularly rough case, another extremely gruesome murder occurs and the team decides to check it out? Reid has been different lately, anxious. He thinks Emily is dead and he's losing control. So when the voices in his head bring him to commit murder, he's not strong enough to stop them. In the beginning, he doesn't even know he's the unsub. But when the memories come back, he comes clean to his team. While they comfort him, he stabs himself in the chest with the murder weapon, effectively killing himself.

When trees returned, Thneedville's largest industry--air--was completely shut down. Now, I'm willing to bet that O'Hare Air made up at least 30% of the economy, given how high the demand for the product was and how rich O'Hare himself is. The dissolution of the air industry probably had enormous impacts on Thneedville's economy, sending unemployment rates through the roof and no doubt hurtling the city into a recession.

I know this title probably looks pretty weird, but let me explain. In the end of the Lorax movie, Cy the air delivery guy sings about how the tree should grow. Sure, that's the right thing to do, but is it in his best financial interest? No, no it is not. If trees come back and produce clean air, O'Hare Air will go under, thus putting Cy out of a job. Sure, the world will be seriously improved, but poor Cy will be unemployed.
