In this story, Once-ler and Greed-ler are heading out to town to spend some money, BUT there's a twist! Once-ler and Greed-ler's relationship is ambiguous, leaving the exact nature of it up to the reader. Including the possibility that Greed-ler himself might not be a real person at all! Greed-ler could be a hallucination, a voice within Once-ler's mind (kind of like a reverse situation of the 1972 special or that other fic I wrote) or he could a simply be a concept ( the Once-ler's own greedy tendencies personified in the purest sense).
