im so sure morty will develop depression eventually. Look at this boy.
He cannot count on his mom or dad (dumbasses), his sister and him doesnt have that much of a connection (when Summer decides to be a fucking bitch), and he can only count on his grandpa. WHICH IS THE ORIGIN OF MOST OF HIS PAIN. HIS. DOG. HIS DOG IS AN ASSHOLE. Ah, yeah, he also suffers bullying at school. The one time he VANISHED days from home, no one cared to search for him. NOT EVEN RICK (which- actually surprising. Kinda plot convenient.) He believes he's at a better home. He believes he's finally loved. Ah, erhm. Oops. Sorry, not at all. His other dad is a psycho. He finds another grandpa who would take care of him, but his other dad is searching for him CRAZY. So whatever, fuck that. He needs to go home. Oh, guess what? This actually makes a good version of his grandpa turns into the alcoholic he's used to. And that kills everyone. He watches as a good (or in better words, a BETTER version of his family) dies. Because of him. And thats not the first time he's done that. This is it, over again. I know morty has done some mistakes. I know that. But- look at how he grew up. This boy just want someone to love him. HIS DRUG OF CHOICE WAS EMPATHY FOR GODS. SAKE.
I wish the writters focus more on- morty psyche after this last episode. Like actually. Not only references. We're having the develop (slowly) of Rick, and i feel (or hope) like this is the opening for a more Morty POV for Season 10. I just want him to be hugged, im sorry. I hope Season 10 gives us just a little bit more of wholesomeness around morty. SPECIALLY, morty and his family. Like- THEM. TOGETHER. MUTUAL SUPPORT. ...and thats too much to ask for rick and morty. Probably.
