Chuuya also came from a rogue group

Shadowclan is known to be ruthless to its members & fiercely suspect the upmost loyalty

Dazai was born & raised in shadowclan (and managed to trick Chuuya into leaving his rogue group) & deflected due to Odasaku’s death (he was a respected warrior)

Kyoka was an apprentice that Atsushi discovered was being hurt by Akutagawa (who was Dazai’s apprentice when he deflected)

Riverclan could be the special operations division

The guild would eventually fight for their place in the clans & have the same role as Skyclan

Dazai & Chuuya forbidden romance?1?1?1?1?1? (It’s practically a rule in Warrior cats that every season there has to be some form of forbidden romance bro)

Though depending on who you want the mc’s to be, Dazai would probably stay away from Chuuya in respects of ‘staying in the light’

Depending on the ships, we could probably have Ranpo and Poe be cannon (or at least canon complient). I’d imagine Thunderclan and Skyclan wouldn’t really be that strict on loyalty (esp Thunderclan bc they’re the smallest organization & is long as they have good intentions, they’re welcome)

As for the cats-

Though if we want like.. an original story AU…. I used to make these all the damn time. Every single time I try to think of a fanfic idea, my brain automatically thinks of warrior cats aus. Aus that only make sense in the context of warrior cats. Still. After 5 years of not engaging in the fandom.

WC was also my first book series so

The PM is massive, it covers Yokohama just about in its entirety— in both terms of members and reach. Realistically this is impossible if I want to translate that into a warrior cats setting, so I was thinking of making them into a sizeable rogue group that stretches from alleyways in a city to some parts of a forest. ( This will allow me to explore darker themes without them breaking some morally right ‘code’ )

I’ve thought over what I’d make the other organizations and most of them besides the ADA don’t really fit ‘clan criteria’ (?). I don’t want to make ADA the only clan because whereeee is the fun in that!!! There’s also the question of how I’d integrate some religion (StarClan) that doesn’t feel far fetched because again I want this shit to be ACCURATEE!!

This has to be added because I’d love to have Fyodor pull up to sneer and belittle the clans’ beliefs, our very own BSD Sol in a way but he has his own belief he feels is superior

The sheep are an obvious band of apprentice-aged cats that eventually fall after they betray Chuuya, how do I make them completely dependent on him w/o adding over the top powers? Good question! How do I add powers at all that would fit naturally? Also a good question?

Idea:

Perhaps make the setting be in an abandoned town/city? They could mark their territories with shops/hunting spots that stand out. The PM would have a much larger area (their camp probably being in one of those nature spots/parks in cities), and the ADA could rule a smaller part of the city!!

They aren’t essentially ‘clans’ as moreso ‘groups’. The groups that come and go (guild & the DOA) discover and try to take the ADA’s territory (since it’s smaller than the pm and ‘essentially’ easier to take over).

For the starclan thing; I suppose we could have them be dead/deceased ability users (aka other dead writers)? Since all the new groups (DOA, Guild, order of the clocktower, etc) are based off of different places, you could have them look up to different ancestors/writers 00

I’d honestly imagine the ability’s to still exist tbh. Atsushi could turn into their ancestors (aka a tiger). Other than that, almost everyone’s ability would stay the same (maybe not Franciss, Kunikida’s, or Poe’s dhidbidbidjeidjedidj cuz they’re cats yk they can’t write)

I feel like the same could also be said for Chuuya as well. Though, if ya don’t wanna add abilities into it (though the power of three does exist), we could have him be naturally ‘stronger’ than the others, or perhaps a year or two older, so the other cats had to look up to him for support.

And I do want powers but Im not sure if I want to add some gravity manipulating cat LMAO, though I do want to do something of some greater entity inside chuuya…. I’ll get around to that later!! My co-developer and composer who worked on the game are both men, calling us "tumblr girlies" is a bit condescending and disrespectful.

To queerbait or shipbait, it means we were taking advantage of possible queer characters and relationships as a means to appeal to queer audiences while maintaining ambiguity about the characters' sexualities. We don't believe the game was baiting anyone since again not only the sexualities of the characters aren't ambiguous as it was fully stated they were written as queer the moment they were designed way before the game was even developed, we've expressed multiple times that while the game does have themes of queerness and cannibalism the main plot and intention behind the source game was always intended to heavily focus on exploring the horror that comes from toxic and unhealthy obsessions and mindsets and how far one is willing to go for them (Rody's self-sacrificial and desperate love for Manon, Vince's selfish obsession for perfection, Rody and taste, etc). The game is about a waiter seeking out and realizing what happened to his ex-girlfriend, that's always been the main plot, Dead Plate is a game in the thriller/horror genre and there was not a single mention of the game having any possible romance in it nor the queer identities and interactions of the characters were used to promote the game in any of the official game pages or promotional material to draw in more audiences, so hearing that you're watering the game down just as some kind of shallow bait is a bit disheartening.
