We All Have A Story To Tell

Skipping along through the snow Sophie glanced into the small cafe as she walked past. Pausing a moment to debate getting a nice warm drink... and it didn’t take long for her to decide that yes, she did in fact want a nice hot chocolate and perhaps a sweet treat. So she slipped into the small bakery and shook of the snow flakes that had landed on her hat while waiting. She was staring at the menu a moment when the little bell went off again and she greeted the person who came in after her with a nod. 

She took a moment to place her order, a hot chocolate and a raspberry tart. Then she turned around and gave a wide smile. “And I’ll pay for theirs as well!”

Sophie loved the snow. She loved the way the soft flakes drifted through the air and blanketed the world in a beautiful, soft white. She loved the way the cold breeze brushed her hair back and the way the moonlight reflected off of the snow. She loved the feel of a hot cocoa in her hands after she stepped inside after a walk through the brisk air... Everything felt so... comfortable.

Sophie Rose loved the winter, loved the snow, and she loved playing in the snow. And that is exactly what she did. The soft blanket of white fluffy snow was perfect, so as she walked through a park with no one else around she glanced about and flopped just off the path on her back. Her arms and legs making quick work of a snow angel. However, as she lay there a few moments just looking up at the sky and letting the snowflakes land on her cheeks, melting instantly but enjoying the way they fell towards her... she realized... She couldn’t get up without ruining the snow angel. “Oh no...” She muttered and glanced about without shifting too much. It was then her warm brown eyes fell on someone else nearby. “Hey! Sorry! Can I borrow you just a minute?? If I get up I’ll ruin the angel... but if you just take my hand..” She held out a gloved hand to the other. “You could help me up? Pretty please?”

OOC; Okay! I’m gonna do it! I’m coming back! I’ve missed RPing for a while and now that I’m not currently in like 5 D&D games, work isn’t swamped with the holidays and all that maybe I can come back. SO

Like this for a starter, and to make things easy, Sophie will be the default, because I’ve had her the longest out of all of them. 

However, if you want someone else, just reply and I’ll write up a short para starter or something!

years, decades, and centuries would hardly ever be on ganymede’s side, since the voice of one of the three 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 was one that startled him instead of that of a lovely shoemaker or repairer of whom he assumed he was visiting. silly ganymede, always wondering in places he shouldn’t. “Not in the way in which I’ve originally sought out, no.” he’d take his steps back in retreat, for the 𝐦𝐨𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐢 could and would often would spark a secret fear in the much younger deity’s heart. he’d never thought much of fate other than the one Zeus placed upon him. he’d turned to flattery in which to change the subject, “ No, you aren’t the old dusty maiden in which I seek out, but a beauty instead. I wonder, though, if you if you perhaps measure the lifespan of these humble sandals. I was going to ask if they are repairable, or if I should ask for a pair of new ones.” 

"No, many assume us to be old and dusty crones with crooked noses and backs though... Perhaps that’s the confusion.” She retorted with an amused eyebrow raise at the sandals presented. “I’m afraid it’s against the rules to tell mortals... and sandals their fates... perhaps you should find a shoemaker who could give you a better estimate.” She mused with a smirk. Though she did look him over, for Lachesis was rather fond of Zeus, he was a friend and a dear one at that. She had seen Ganymede in the past but in person? She could certainly see was reminded of why he’d caught Zeus’ attention. The god did always have a soft spot for a pretty face. “Sorry I’m unable to help you, perhaps I could give you a recommendation for one who could? Though- I’m never a fan of few shoes... they lack the history of one who knows your gait well.”

Being called out on her gaze and the way she tried so hard to hold back from reaching out caught the fae off guard, blue eyes widening for a moment as a deep pink hue took over pale cheeks. “I-I didn’t mean- I mean I- c-can I?” In the end, curiosity got the best of her after all, hands unfolding from one another as she ever so slowly reached for the soft ears on the other’s head. It was nothing but a gentle brushing of fingertips over smooth fur and a surprised, breathless gasp from plush lips. Too fascinated, it took a moment for her to register the offered hand, eventually grasping it with both of her own to give it a shake. “C-Cake! I’d like to invite you for some cake?”

“Go ahead, I don’t mind!” Sophie leaned into the hand that brushed her ear slightly and one foot tapped slightly even at the soft touch. She quickly blushed a bit and peered over at the other at the mention of cake. “Oh! Yes! I’d like cake. I love cake. Actually I like anything with sugar!” She admitted and nodded furiously, excited now. “I can bring some really good tea! I have some actually!” She motioned to the bag at her side. “Do you like tea? Everyone I know likes tea but I’ve heard it’s not everyone always who likes it? But I don’t know...” She was curious, she liked her tea very sweet and it usually went well with cake, so she wondered if her new friend did too.

“There are two versions of yourself that I know, Lachesis, dear. The current one and the one that cares so much for the fate of the mortals. I admire and enjoy them equally.” The king had never hid his favoritism toward the fates and the way they operated. It was not only his duty to get along with them, but he genuinely enjoyed their presences and their wisdom. Lachesis had been the one he found the most comfort with so far and so smiling and laughing around here seemed much easier. “Friends..” Tasting that on his tongue, there needed no more said to know what she really referred to, a fond yet somber smile to his lips at the thought of past connections he had made with mortals until the day he had made Ganymede his eternal companion. “Then we shall find a tavern with acceptable drinks and enjoy the night, how does that sound, dear friend?”

"Well, I appreciate that.” She gave him a gentle nod. If only everyone regarded them in the same manner Zeus did. Then again, some wouldn’t know when to stop the friendly and start the business which was something the fates valued as well. Not a problem they’d had with Zeus, at least recently. As he repeated her word she gave a little nod, a smile shared- she could make a fair assumption of his thoughts. He had a companion now, but dalliances among the mortals were common for him and the fates all knew it. She was fairly certain they’d advised him in a direction involving one or two before. Often her sister’s forte but Lachesis was often present. “That sounds like a lovely time.” She agreed with a nod.

“You got some nerve.” That’s what the squeak would have translated into had one of them owned one of those magical translator comm devices. instead there were a flourish of squeaks from behind a bushy tail ( kind of like, “squeak–squeak squeak squeeak !!” ) and a pair of tiny black beady eyes staring up at that sleepy head. Goldie, the squirrel would wave an aggravated clenched fist as she stood a couple of feet away from Sophie until in her scurries, she’d climb starting from the girl’s calf and land upon her shoulder. she’d then squeak a couple of more melodies involving some distractions before finally hopping off completely. her leap, however, wasn’t at all graceful and caused the girl to shift, and landing poorly on an ankle. “𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐓𝐒!” 

a long groan would emit from the female’s lips as she grabbed for her ankle, hissing in pain, “Now you’ve gone and made me twist my ankle. Gloria the grey squirrel has every opportunity to snipe all my nuts! How are you going to repay me !”  

Sophie didn’t do much as a squirrel scaled her leg and up to her shoulder. Squeaking. She could talk to rabbits but.... not squirrels. Rabbits spoke fast but something about the way a squirrel spoke made it seem even faster and it didn’t translate. Not for Sophie, at least. She was debating just reaching up and setting the little squirrel on the ground when it suddenly lept from her shoulder, shifted and suddenly it was yelling at her.

The bunny girl’s eyes widened and then her brows furrowed. Normally she was very shy but Sophie was also a bit on the defensive side so the accusatory comment made her step back and tilt her head to the side.. “I- I didn’t make you do anything!” She responded shaking her head. “A-are you okay?” She was... cautious but she wasn’t uncaring and hoped the squirrel..? was at least going to be okay.
