Here’s another Collider profile I’m so proud to bring you all — this time with Joel McHale! As some of you already know, I’ve looked up to Joel since I was a teenager (those early years on ‘The Soup’ really meant everything). Since then, his comedy and heart have been a real comfort for me and my family over the years. Joel is so much more than the quick wit people know him for. He’s thoughtful, kind, generous, and just a really good human. I am so humbled to have had the chance to share his story with all of you — from his early days starting in Seattle to all the amazing things he’s doing now. I’m super grateful for how it turned out, so I hope you give it a read. 💛

So grateful to finally share my Collider profile on the incredible Jensen Ackles. Having watched the show for years (more of that in the interview), it was really rather humbling. He was so kind, easy to talk to, and just so thoughtful with everything he shared. We talked about his intense new role in Prime Video’s Countdown, looked back at the legacy of Supernatural, and got into what it’s been like stepping into wild projects like The Boys and the upcoming Vought Rising. So, before the end of 2024, I had the really cool privilege of heading to LA for the Fox Winter Press Tour. I got to spend time with the cast of Animal Control — Joel McHale, Vella Lovell and Grace Palmer — for a very fun round of Heads Up in support of the Fox comedy’s third season.

This is one of my absolute favorite shows ever and getting to do this for Collider was a lot of fun! The three of us had so many laughs and it was pure chaos!

Last month, I got a really fun update about the upcoming Prime Video movie Merv with Charlie Cox and Zooey Deschanel for my Collider profile with the Daredevil actor. During our chat, Charlie was kind enough to talk about what sounds like a holiday movie.

It’s the first of two comedic roles this year that Charlie is taking on — the first being a very funny arc in the upcoming FX series, Adults set to premiere on May 28. I can’t share more because of embargoes, but it’s definitely going to get some really big laughs as it’s a side unseen of his so far.
