Vexx smiled warmly. "I do believe so. He doesn't know how to operate any other way. I do worry he's going to turn himself gray one of these days." He sighed happily, having completely recovered from the ordeal. "Well...technically Xypher leveled the building. Per his usual MO. Though the verdict is still out on who will be taking fiscal responsibility for it. You know those boys. Can never agree on any one thing. If I were to venture a guess...I'd say Xypher will be sleeping on the couch for the foreseeable future."
Vexx offered him a little wave. "Doll...I've spent more than enough time paying my dues. Time to take one for the team. Good luck!"
Magnus was currently pacing around the office. Flinging magic around as he did so. Changing the colors and textures of things. Glitter all over the place.
Xypher lounged on a comfy chair in the corner. He was currently reading 'How to be a Dark Lord. Or die trying.' Though it was getting harder to concentrate. What with Magnus setting random pages on fire.
"So now not only doing we have a raving hoard of vampires attacking each other we have a sadist necromancer who is infiltrating my city and attacking children!"
"I offered to take care of vampire infestation." Xypher replied, making a face as the current page he'd been reading disintegrated in his fingers. "You know...I got this from the library."
Magnus was about to send another glitter bomb at him when there was a knock on the door. "WHO DARES DISTURB THE HIGH WARLOCK??? Vexx...if that's you I need tea. Lots of tea."
"Don't forget the bourbon." Xypher added from his chair.
"Of course he doesn't. He's far too caring for the laidback approach," Wesley noted. He slipped into a bit of laughter at the misinterpretation. "Oh, I had meant Xypher. I doubt Magnus would level shop unless it was quite dire... although, it did certainly sound like it from Alexander's point of view on things. You all are quite lucky to have made it out relatively unscathed." He cast a glance towards the study, nodding sagely. "Banishment to the sofa, huh? We'd call that the dog house in my family."
"I did volunteer, didn't I? Run for cover then," Wesley returned over his shoulder, offering another smile and a wave to Vexx.
The yelling and more gentle pivot in the case it might be Vexx only deepened the smile on Wesley's face, and he opened the door at his own risk, taking in the sight of the mismatched, glitter coated study, and Xypher with his singed book in the corner of the room. "Not Vexx, I'm afraid. And I don't come bearing drinks either, alcoholic or otherwise." He held up his hands in surrender before he got landed in a bunch of glitter. "Merely here to offer a bit of replenishment in the ways I'm able to manage myself."
He cast another glance to Xypher then. "Although I'm gathering that you didn't really expend yourself as much as redirect things today?"
