"I do hope you're joking."

"Of course, I do have some sense of self preservation. If only a little," she said, unable to hold in her laugh any longer.

"Maybe I don't want to answer the one you asked,"

"I'm afraid it came about as rather an assumption on my part." He glanced about rather casually to assure his seethe didn't lie in wait nearby. "You reacted poorly to me, did you not? So that would either be a wariness of strangers in the general way, or the wariness of unknown vampires after a new and offending seethe attacked the large gala the other night. I assumed the later."

"Perhaps it is just a wariness of men I do not know," she proposed, observing him with caution. He was right of course. His questions and him not being known to her made her suspicious he might be one of them. "How am I to know how you will react to my answers should I give them? A gentleman would not approach a woman on her own and start bombarding her with questions. And if you are not a gentleman then I can not count on being safe in your presence if you do not like my answers,"

"I've no idea what you're talking about" she replied but a wink followed close behind

"My mistake. I have a wild imagination, I'm told."

"And clearly very vivid too. You might want to be careful it doesn't get you into trouble," she joked.

“That wasn’t the question.”

"Maybe I don't want to answer the one you asked,"

“I pulled the poor thing from the street. He’s still shaking like a leaf,” she said of the young cat in her hold.

"Oh, the poor little lamb. Maybe you should come in and sit down with him for a bit somewhere calm," she gestured back to the door of the Eternity Wedding Boutique she'd come from to see what was going on.

“Are you sure? I wouldn’t want to be a nuisance,” she replied, knowing well enough that they would be in the middle of the business day.

Nella shook her head, “You won’t be anything of the sort. Besides, I could do with a break and I love cats,” she said in an attempt to put the girl at ease. Though it was true too. Stepped back to the door, pausing once she got there to see what she’d decided.

“I saw that.”
