You would think this is just a normal drawing of one of my ocs, you know what I usually do!! But plot twist this is actually an excuse to ramble about my oc lore under the disguise of new art!!
This however is completely optional!! You can either just scroll away or click “Keep Reading” down below and enjoy my insane ramblings.
So normally I'm very shy about sharing my characters but fuck it, we’re doing it live!! I’m choosing to share my characters backstories and lore, starting off with my oc, Redacted!! (One note before we start!! Redacted is from my SCP AU so there will be context missing so to make it short/simple. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, fifty years after a world-wide containment breach resulting in the exposure of the SCP Foundation taking humanity down with it.)
Maybe I will explain the AU in more detail sometime in the future, though it really just depends if people would be interested in hearing it!! Feel free to ask me about it if you want, maybe that will push me into sharing more about my stories.
Anyways- Redacted (real name █████, though everybody calls her Red for short.) Is a self acclaimed human who has allied with the newly rebuilt SCP Foundation, also known as The SCP Revival Squad. Though I wouldn’t say she completely works for them, despite being one of their members/personnel, Red seems to be there for her own personal benefit. She never lets on much about her reasonings but she always has this air about her that she's hiding something. Preferring to keep her distance from others, Red is always on her own missions, sometimes completely counterintuitive to the foundations’ goals, sabotaging them in the process.
Whenever Red is around humans, they can’t help but feel a looming sense of death makes interacting with her uncomfortable. (However this feeling slowly fades away after frequent interaction.) When a living organism comes into a 8 feet radius of Red, she is able to have complete control of their blood. Some examples include: being able to boil and stop blood flow, all the way to exploding their hearts from the inside with nothing else but her mind.
But this ability does have its redeeming qualities, with Red being able to change her blood type on command making her a good blood donor.
Personality wise, Red can be summed up to having quite a nonchalant and aloof personality. Barely showing enthusiasm in anything as her mind is frequently elsewhere. Despite all that, Red is very secretive, going to extreme lengths to keep any info about herself top secret. She has shown to have zero issues with resorting to stalking, taunting, violence or even ██████. Even finding enjoyment in others' fear and confusion. Yeah, Red is quite antagonistic at times despite her indifferent personality. Though this twisted side of her personality rarely comes out to play, usually only making its presence known when somebody chooses to attack her first. (Or dares call her an anomaly/monster.)
OKAY NOW ONTO RED'S BACKSTORY!!
Dying is inevitable but to one woman attempting to survive in the apocalypse alone it was only an option. When the time finally came for her to draw her final breath and to succumb to her tragic fate, she would instead strike up a deal with █████ in exchange to live forever. But the price would be a particularly odd choice, to bear it's child, one that appeared human on the surface but was anything but...
That child would end up being Red, as the two travelled the overgrown ruins that were now earth. Red's mother would grow to fear her child's unnatural abilities, refusing to view her own child as anything else but a monster. As her fear grew, so did her decision to leave and start a new family far away. Abandoning her eight year old daughter alone to fend for herself, Red would continue to wander by alone growing to despise herself. The young Red had nothing now, except for her own abilities and a cracked comedy mask that she found in the ruins of an old city theatre. It would become her only “friend” with Red actively carrying and talking to it…
BUT YEAH THAT'S RED!! Feel free to ask me questions about her!! I am planning on using her more since ATM she's kinda my favourite oc, though expect a healthy amount of OC and Fanart content!! Another Note I should add, is that I use Red for other AUs too, one including her working in a normal timeline where the world didn't collapse and she works for the SCP foundation as a guard who's trying to keep their anomalous abilities a secret!!

Favourite colour: Mango (the inner section; though the red-green-yellow outside is cool). Apparently the color orange inherently energizes due to some factor in the brain. I get more awake when I see it idk, as far as I can tell. Sunsets and sunrises are pretty with the blend of orange-red-pink-yellow and blue-pink-white relatedly.
