Last year I did a whole Top Ten Toys of the Year listĀ but this year Iām ultra lazy about it and plus I donāt really have much to say so just have a group shot.
Live Action PJ Reroot/Fashionista Hybrid: Well Iāve always wanted a Mod era doll with this hair colour, plus with the poseability of a Fashionista and generally cute personality gets her on this notable list lol.
Marmit Rurufi Fairy doll: One of my holy grails back almost 6 years ago now, I was ecstatic that pandorkful was selling one of the heads since I wanted one to go on my headless Marmit body for so long.
Sweethearts Michael: Another of my holy grails. I was so happy when freetre offered me the parts of one to fix up since he had his hair and paint. I needed to replace his legs but Iām happy to have one of the earliest articulated male dollsā¦
Allanās EAH body: Okay so Iāve had his head for a few years now, but I was sooooooo happy to finally get my hands on Ever After Highās Hunter body because it fitted Allanās thinner neck, and happens to look incredibly well sculpted and matches well. Iāve had so much fun this year with Allan.
Yukko Chan: Yet another holy grail item, I thought I was going to spend a lot of money importing her in because her price was a major barrier for me. To my surprise, finding her at Savers in a bag full of dolls for $3.99 must have been the biggest fluke of my entire doll collecting years. I built her wheelchair to accommodate her knees and Iām so happy to have gotten herā¦
Repro Allan: Yea, even after my entire Allan army grew in spades, Repro Allan was always out of my grasp. So I was incredibly lucky to have found the Campus Sweetshop set for a reasonable price.
Custom Black Francie: Sheās more of a representation of *all* the Francies I bought this year but sheās my favourite since Iām proud of how I was able to transform this discoloured old girl into something reasonably close to my other Holy grail, Black Francie.
Live Action Christie: I loved the Midge headsculpt, and LA Christie wasā¦ yet again, a holy grail of mine. After Mintydolls offered me a bunch of Barbie parts I was ecstatic to have this gorgeous dark skinned doll, and Iām proud of custom painting her body to match her beautiful head.
Silkstone Francie: She was my first (probably only) Silkstone but definitely a huge favourite of mine since she has a lot of personality, and a very unique addition to my collection. Thank you to Wellermade for selling her to me for a very reasonable cost.
Truly Scrumptious: Of course this was the year of the Francie for me, and Iāve always wanted a Truly Scrumptious as she was the only doll asides from Francie to use this sculpt and it had an interesting face paint. I was very fortunate to find her for a reasonable price and that her head faded to match perfectly with my spare Obitsu white body.
Definitely a year full of Holy Grails so Iām excited to see what next year can bringā¦
