she is warm, smart, and kind,

she never got annoyed once, even as a rookie sat at her table.

she cheered with the players when they won and moved on quickly when they lost.

she must not harp on the bad stuff, or maybe she just likes to make other people feel celebrated..

maybe a little bit of both.

but i couldn’t help wonder what her life is like after hours.

when she goes home, is there anyone waiting up?

does she miss the buzz of the table or does she dread it.

does she count everything up in her life to 21, or does she have a different number.

maybe she adds everything up and she’s yet to reach what she’s gunning for.

maybe she’s happy.

then the dealers switched.
