A Fucked Up Fiasco

the peace that i keep lacking keeps speaking to me, but i can’t have it

are you leaving a mark, or scared to make a bad impression so you just go hide in the dark?

everybody in the crowd singing every word i wrote telling me that i am not the only one that feels alone

all my emotions are liars; all my emotions are violent; they don’t want freedom to find me

see, we’ve all got something that we trapped inside, that we try to suffocate, you know, hoping it dies, try to hold it underwater but it always survives, then it comes up out of nowhere like an evil surprise, then it hovers over you to tell you millions of lies

everything that breaks you down can also build your character

who i am and who i want to be cannot connect; why?

i look at you and tell you i’d be better alone. just the pride talking, isn’t it? ‘cause both of us know i’m the definition of wreck if you look into my soul

am i a good person or a lost one?

if you look at your face every day when you get up and think you’ll never be great–you’ll never be great. not because you’re not, but the hate will always find a way to cut you up and murder your faith

i should let them go and watch them float away; but i’m scared if i do, then i’ll be more afraid

ask for help, you call it weakness; lied and promised me my freedom

it’s pretty hard to watch those things you used to love turn to things that you wish you forgot

give me my mind back before it was hijacked and wasn’t described as a place of limitation, always indicating i can’t handle everything from my past, handle anything

i stay captured, knee-deep in defeat of my own actions

stand alone, my soul is jealous; it wants love, but i reject it; trade my joy for my protection

i pick up the weapon, aim in your direction, shoot at my reflection

if you made a list of people that you trusted would you put your name down? do you know who you are when you look at life and you talk about yours, do you feel proud?
