i fw lunch ladies so hard. i dont carry cash on me because… besides servers who does? and these gorgeous young women get me free lunch anyway

so, once in a blue moon i pick up high school subbing assignments. when i do sub for high school i usually like to stop by during my lunch and visit my old teachers. last week i had a two day assignment and i went to visit my old animation teacher both days. on the second day my old teacher stops me in the hall and says to me “you were a hit with my students yesterday.” my oblivious ass thought that he meant like, ‘they thought you were funny and nice!’ or smthing along those lines. *loud incorrect buzzer noise* he continued “yeah, after you left they said ‘that sub is so fine! and im like guys please thats a old student of mine.” i dont think my facial expression has ever morphed into disgust so quickly… mfw high school boys open their mouths

i had a kid in one of the 4th grade classes i sub for asked me, “miss bea, can you play ‘steal a brain rot’ on roblox with us?”

was subbing for a kindergarten class a few weeks ago. i hadnt eaten breakfast that morning so when lunch time came around i was fiending for some mask potatoes and peas. got mu lunch, sat down with my class and started eating, about 10 minutes later i had finished my lunch, unsurprisingly portions made for children are easy for an adult to finish. I was instructing the kids to eat their lunch, stay in there seats, ect ect, when one little girl looks up and me. “did you eat already eat all your lunch?” she asked. i smiled and nodded “yeah, i was hungry.” i replied. without missing a BEAT this 5 year old gets this evil little smile on her face point her finger at me, and without ANY hesitation says “BIG BACK!!!” i just looked and her in total disbelief, mouth wide open. “… h-huh?” i muttered, before i could get anything else out of my mouth she repeats “youre a BIG BACK!!” after she repeated herself i had to hold back bursting into laughter, the whole thing was so absurd, i love kids lmao
