some  ideas  for  first  meeting  prompts  that  may  help  break  the  ice  between  characters .  feel  free  to  amend  contexts  &  roles  where  required !  violent  &  alcohol  related  prompts  present . 

it's november which means it's winter, so here u go! i wanted these to be kinda dramatic and intense, but i'll be making some cozier fluffier ones as time passes! DO NOT ADD OR EDIT THIS LIST! but always feel free to add [ REVERSE ] to one of the actions to reverse the roles!

[ RACE ]: sender sprints out into a blizzard to rescue a freezing and disorientated receiver.

[ BUNDLE ]: sender removes their coat to wrap it around a visibly shivering receiver.

[ WARM ]: sender vigorously rubs the receiver's arms in a bid to warm them up after being exposed to a winter storm outside.

[ SHELTER ]: sender hastily guides the receiver to a nearby shelter for them to wait out the storm together safely.

[ PREPARE ]: sender ties a length of rope around their waist and the receiver's waist in order to safely stay together as they prepare to go out into the storm.

[ BREATHE ]: sender takes the receiver's cold hands and begins to gently blow warm air over them in an effort to keep the receiver warm.

[ HOLD ]: sender takes the receiver's hands and holds them together in order to keep them warm during a cold spell.

[ EMBRACE ]: sender wraps their arms around the receiver and holds them close in an effort to conserve body heat during a snow storm.

[ AID ]: sender begins to either guide, drag, or physically carry a weakened receiver through a blizzard to safety.

[ CALL ]: having been separated from the receiver during a blizzard, the sender begins to call out their name in order to guide them back to each other and reunite safely.

[ PUSH ]: having just rescued the receiver from a blizzard, the sender insists on pushing the receiver closer to a fire to warm them up first.

[ POUR ]: sender pours the receiver a hot drink after finding shelter from a freezing snow-storm.

[ EXTRA ]: sender wraps an extra blanket around the shivering receiver after having been exposed to a blizzard outside.

[ SPARK ]: the sender builds a make-shift fire in a hurry in order to warm up a freezing receiver during a snow storm.

[ SHARE ]: the sender opens out their blanket to share it with the receiver during a snow storm, pulling them closer against them to share their body heat.

DIALOGUE PROMPTS.

" come on! we need to get you out of this cold! "

" follow my voice! keep calling my name, i can't see you in the storm! "

" oh, god, you're freezing... come on, put your arms around my neck. that's it, good job... let's get you inside. "

" i g-got lost... separated from my group... p-please, it's so cold, i'm so c-cold... "

" here, take my coat... you'll freeze to death in no time if you don't. "

" drink some tea, okay? warm yourself up from the inside. it's not my worst effort, but granted, it's not my best either. "

" hey, hey, stay with me! i know you're thinking you're tired, but you're not; you're freezing, and sleeping will not help keep you warm, okay? keep moving. come on, we're almost there... "

" you know how to light a fire without matches? all we have is a broken lighter and some sticks and stones. "

" don't be stubborn, okay? we need to share the bed, conserve our body heat. come on. if i wanted to seduce you, i've got better moves than hypothermia. "

" you didn't bring a jacket or anything?! i told you to wrap up warm, you dumbass! "

" don't be getting all mad at me, okay? i saw you in the middle of a blizzard, i ran out to rescue your idiotic butt. no time to figure out zips and buckles when i've got to be the local hero, right? "

" what the hell are you doing out here?! are you crazy?! it's negative fifty billion degrees and getting colder by the minute! come on, come with me! "

"No such thing as too much pie, if you ask me. But if you're just givin' it away, me and the eels will take 'em!"

“I can admire your enthusiasm but I’m one person and you know, it’s hard to say no to a three for sale—”

That’s not the point here though, anyway. She seems more interested in the food then anything else. And what was this about eels? Could eels eat pie?

" Ah... Wary one huh? "

" It's just me sir! I mean if you don't trust me then you can just look yourself and decide. I won't be forcing you or anything. "

On the other hand though, they’re both standing outside in the cold getting pelted with hail and this is stupid— freezing to death isn’t worth it. Neither is putting someone else in danger, making them stick around out in the cold over his own indecisive distrust.

The bottomless pit basically makes it so the fate is unknown of whatever goes in. it could come back, it could end up somewhere else, or it could continue falling for eternity.

ford has attempted to hide his journals before, but they were all found. Gideon even dug up the 2nd one and used it to terrorize the town and even ford's own family.

so I don't think ford would be blind to these outcomes, its happened before why wouldn't it happen again? I think the thought of the journals falling through the pit and wounding up in the hands of someone more powerful than an 8 year old would be enough to keep him up at night. the forever uncertainty would kill him.

then I think, well maybe he would burn them with everything else?

however, I think it's important to remember how much these journals meant to him. despite the memories they carry now, they were once his sole confidant in six years of solitude.

even if ford felt any sort of connection to them now, he probably felt like he had to get rid of them.

he probably felt that his work was a burden to those he cared about. that he would have to make the sacrifice to part with them.

I think it would be a great dilemma for him. So I believe he gave them to someone. I think a lot of people would assume it would be Dipper, but to me what it comes down to is that it would have to be someone ford could fully trust.

it would be someone who could see the value in his work despite his mistakes. someone who could fully understand where his passion came from at the very start.

so i believe he gave them to fiddleford

I think fiddleford has had an interest in Ford's old journals ever since his memory started to recover. he remembers something new each time he reads them. fiddleford would be able to keep them safe, keeping ford's mind at ease knowing someone was keeping an eye on them.

and I think that would be enough for him

" Hey!!!"

Eiden pokes his head out of the door. The guy's been standing there for a long while now. He can't just leave him out there to drizzle mixed hail.

" Oh you picked an owl huh?"

But not only that. He’s definitely more visibly covered in feathers now, as if the unpleasant itching of them constricted under the coat and sweater wasn’t enough, some are sticking out over the top of Ford’s turtleneck by now too, more obvious to the current onlooker.

At the rate they were spreading there was no telling how long it would take before it got completely out of control, which was embarrassing enough without having it pointed out.

That wasn’t particularly a trusting expression given to Eiden though, and this doesn’t look like the sort of place Ford wants to hang out in. Still, feathers ruffle against the unpleasant cold of hail falling more relentlessly.
