SAY IT WITH SIZZLE!

The result of which was a flavor that, to this day, the squid couldn't describe if one were to ask. The closest she could get was cold, which wasn't a flavor, but was a pretty accurate representation of the night-long brain freeze that stunt had left her with.

Not ready to take no for an answer so quickly, golden eyes darted across each of the flashy labels in his hands, unable to help an impressed whistle.

"You sure that's not gonna kill you? Or sear your tongue off?"

After recent experiences, she knew all too well how scarily close to battery acid a concoction like this could end up. Sour wasn't exactly her thing to begin with; it was fine in small doses, but an overwhelming deluge like that, alongside the bitter charge of way too much caffeine, was another story. Which was saying a lot, for a girl whose lifeforce practically depended on sugar and caffeine!

Even knowing as such though, there was a part of her that was still tempted, if only to see how this version held up in comparison to her previous mistake. Just, maybe she'd limit herself to a single sip instead of chugging the whole thing this time.

Springing over some planks and rubble on the floor Eiden speeds up so that he can catch Fry somewhere there halfway. He doesn't quite make it before Fry is out already but the police haven't caught him yet either. He can still hear them from the downstairs though so it's only a matter of time.

When he pokes his head out of window Eiden's hair stand on his neck. He'd rather not sprain his ankle?!

" Are you kidding me--- Fry, you okay there? "

He glances back and then forth downwards again. The noise is getting closer. He can even hear some steps from the first set of stairs. There's no time to look for a hide out now.

" Sh... Aaaah fine! I'll do it!!! "

Eiden gulps before bringing his foot up onto the window sill. Like that he closes his eyes and makes a leap for it --- with a quite a bit of noise.

" AAAAAAAAAUUNNGHHOWWWWW !! "

That's about how he sounds when he finally lands butt first on the ground.

"OH! You okay?!"

There wasn't a lot of time to worry about it either way. While her own wet splat wasn't the most graceful landing either, not having any bones to break did have it's advantages during rushed escapes like this! Already shifted back upright, Frye ignored the light sting of scraped limbs as she raced to gather her newfound keepsakes back up, adrenaline pulsing with the ink through her veins.

There's a shout somewhere above them, beams of light spilling out from flashlights pointed through the window they'd just leapt from. Shoving everything she can carry under one elbow, Frye's bolted over to Eiden's side again in an instant, straining to tug him upright by the forearm with her free hand.

"We're outta time, let's go! You can still run, right?"

"No! Yes! I dunno! They're all itchy and annoying! Help me get 'em off!"

There was no way she was getting all the way back home for a shower like this. It was hard enough to keep focus and avoid getting lost trekking through the forest on a good day! Much less with all this flora serving as a distraction. With another sharp hiss, a particularly thorny vine loosened under her grip, needle sharp pain digging into her fingers where she tugged.

"Right? What's with the way he keeps poppin' in and out, too? Last time I saw him around, he said he was here for a week without us! And then he vanished again just as quick!"

Aggravation cut a sharp edge through Frye's growl, bitter fire searing hot off the tip of her tongue. Trembling between squared fingers, she clutched tight to a familiar plush with a force hard enough to nearly pop a tear through the seams.

Logically, she knew it wasn't his fault. The manta was far from the first person she'd watched come and go throughout her years here, and despite all the time spent trying, she still hadn't figured out a way to brute force the whims of those above.

But how long were they supposed to keep sitting here, waiting with hands tied for their missing third? How many times was he going to come back, only to be torn away like he'd never been with them at all?

There had to be something they hadn't tried yet.

"What, that's all? I've got all SORTS of moves! I've seen you dance, we could--"

"Oh. No, no thanks. They'll eat me for sure. Good luck on the view count."

The call cut short through the air, one hand raised up after him in half-hearted chase before dropping right back to her side with a conflicted pout.
