Hit up the Queens County Market this weekend for plenty of holiday yums!

A great new housewares and hardware store - yep, all in one place - is opening up in LIC within weeks - Kitchen Plus More (lots of photos inside). It's very cool and a great addition to the LIC retail scene. 

Grandma's Kitchen is at Bohemian Hall this weekend! We'd love to eat the Farmer's Plate, filled with some serious delicious items - spaetzle, klobasa, sauerkraut, and pierogi.

On Newtown Ave, a new 7-story mixed-use building is going to be built where a single family home, garage, and commercial space used to stand. Looks like they plan to have it up by Fall 2016, but who knows - things always take longer than you think in this town. But basically it means having new neighbors in the 30th Ave area.

ICYMI: One of Astoria's favorite food markets, Greenbay, is opening up a new spot across the street on Broadway. We hear there will be sandwiches.
