THE CELLAR. (A creepypasta based off of the slendrina games)
Legend has it, if you go out adventuring abandoned buildings at night, and somehow get lost, if you go down any stairs before finding the exit, you may end up playing the game "the cellar."
The cellar starts out like any other dare game, but there's a catch, it will stop being a cellar . . . It will become a prison. There's an old legend of a young girl who's mother poisoned her and dumped her body into the still water of an old and long since run down business building her father owned before being poisoned himself, it is highly suspected that the mother was after the father's money and so she killed him and her daughter with arsenic, others say that she simply snapped from either some sort of undiagnosed mental illness or she was under severe distress. Either way you view it, the story ends the same.
The girl's spirit has never known peace since.
She was first spotted in the late 1910's, where two young boys, allegedly challenged by fellow classmates, to walk down into the ramshackle building she was left rotting in and only one came out alive. Shell shocked, yet still lucid; he described to the police that he and his friend went into the cellar of the building(the alleged room with the still water) and as the did, they got lost, after alleged hours of searching for the exit and tired from walking, the boys pulled out eight study books the forgot to leave at their respective homes and began to rest their legs while reading. The eldest boy's flashlight went out suddenly, and when it finally flickered back to life the boys books were gone, "the ghost wanted to play a game." Quote the surviving boy.
The two boys scavenged through the maze-like corridors of the cellar all while hearing disembodied screams, footsteps, and seeing things pop out of corners. The surviving boy kept insisting that he and his now missing friend kept feeling like the ghost of the girl who died was watching them, telling them to look at her, to find her— to die with her. The boy said that when he and his friend finally found the last book it made the girl angry, and she began screaming incessantly, phasing in and out of their view trying to get the boys to look at her. And when the two boys finally found the exit to the seemingly endless cellar; only one stayed behind, the boy said that he heard a blood chilling banshee-like wail as the boy's friend stared dead eyed at the wraith as she dragged him back down into the cellar with her, never to be seen again.
Since then, the ghost girl, whom explorers and paranormal investigators have dubbed the name "Slendrina"(most likely a mispronounced version of the name "Slavena") has been spotted not just at her final resting place, but also in run-down buildings all around the world. To summon her, you must find the lowest level of the building, either an actual cellar or at least some sort of storage that's below the rest of the building, but once you enter, you cannot leave.
This is where the game begins, all you'll need is a flashlight and eight books(the books do not need to be related to each other, there just needs to be eight books in total) if your flashlight starts to flicker, that means Slendrina is present, do not panic, this could ruin the ritual, do not acknowledge Slendrina as that will ruin the ritual, if your flashlight goes out that means the game has started, when your flashlight turns back on the books will be gone.
At this point you cannot end the game, you need to play or else you'll never be able to leave. You must search thoroughly for the eight books within the cellar, if there are locked doors, search for keys or find or make a lock-pick, but be careful! Slendrina will be hunting you throughout the game! She will try to make you look at her, if you look at her for more than three seconds she will take you to the afterlife meaning you have lost the game. To win is to not look at Slendrina and to find all eight books, once you have all the books you must run to the exit door as fast as possible before Slendrina catches you, if she does catch you, you lose the game and your life, if you make it to the exit door the game will end and Slendrina will be sent back to where she came from. And you get to keep your books.
This game is highly dangerous and new paranormal investigators and legend explorers have been told to never play the cellar game for their own safety. There are thousands of reports about people's friends and family, particularly children and young adults or teens, have been going missing for found dead from unnatrural conditions in dilapidated buildings and forests.
For your safety, I would not recommend playing this game.
