Doll con outfits: this year vs last years. pardon the grainy phone pics.

my partner recently bought a blind box bjd that came with a bunch of additional heads. i don't have any blind boxes of my own, but i've been interested in customizing one for a while -> my partner donated one of the blank heads for this experiment. i put it on a cave club body because the proportions were perfect, and made all the clothes and accessories. i also made the hair out of silk clay.

lately i've had an unusual desire to make dolls with clothes, which led me to this project: my highly hypothetical "if i played dnd as a player instead of a dungeon master" Secret Illithid character.

this is an old idea, the first iteration of which is this ever after high custom from like. five years ago at this point? i never finished it because i wasn't happy with it even at the time, but recently i remembered its existence and decided to do a second round from scratch.

I watch him with his hands raised at the altar. He is taller than any of us by two heads.

He doesn't notice me. I am just one of those who crawl at his feet and catch the drops of blood from his claws.

But I am happy.

Today he will make a sacrifice to our Master.

The blade of the dagger enters easily. Not into the throat — no, that would be too quick. He chooses a spot beneath the ribs and sinks the dagger in up to the hilt slowly, savoring every inch, guiding the blade downwards.

I get hard.

I am not ashamed of it, and when I look at him, I understand what true worship is.

I am ready to fall to my knees and crawl to him through puddles of blood, to kiss his boots, so that his claws might enter my flesh as deeply as he has entered my mind.

I want to die by his hand.

the drywood dryad is dormant in the summer, appearing like a dead tree, but walks around in the winter, growing fruit from its branches to feed crows & other birds.

this was inspired by my partner telling me to make something with a lot of crows. the prompt was originally for a warhammer mini, but i decided to also sculpt a bjd so i could have more details & use different materials.

I’ve made my first attempt at crafting an armor piece. I don’t really know how it should be done, so this is mostly me experimenting with the materials I have on hand.

To keep it simple, I decided to test the process on a small piece first — a pair of bracers for Llin.

WiP - Doll Glasses

This is a little compilation as I didn't take photos of all the progress but ended up using them still. I have to adjust the glasses for one doll a bit more, it's a too fine work to get them right. But here we go.

I didn't make a real pattern here I just drew some circles on a piece of cardboard and basically traced them onto the foil, flipping the circles to have them even.

The top glasses were the ones I tried first the day prior they are a bit too uneven.

And the little oval circle are for Alastor's new glasses that finally came out in a way they suit him.

This pair here is for Apocryphos as the sunglasses I got him are way WAY too huge on his head.

They look nice from the sides.

But I am not 100% satisfied with the lines around the glasses, I will adjust them.
