I have come down with a horrendous case of Doc Ock (and Spiderman in general but primarily Doc Ock) brainworms, which is exactly what this sideblog is for B)
AUs:
Chimeraverse
An alternate timeline of the events that transpired in Spiderman 2, wherein Octavius lives and Mary Jane dies. Contains an OC.
Gardenverse
Peter, Harry, and Aunt May are all bug-themed heroes in this AU; the villains are either themed after plants or small animals. The villains were transformed (and also mostly kidnapped) by an unknown figure, being forced to work for her and further her operation to overthrow Peter's hometown by infesting it with plants.

I like to imagine Otto helps Curt strengthen his good arm by playing a game with him that he himself has dubbed "Ock paper scissors". Basically, it's just rock paper scissors played with the actuators:
Also Curt frequently lifts up Otto's glasses to look into his eyes because the tinted lenses make it hard to see them from the outside
AND they bring each other food and water after getting too invested in their own projects and forgetting to take care of their own needs

About the scar on his stomach: The main villain of this AU- the one that turned all the other villains into plant people- stole his digestive tract, because hey, you can photosynthesize now! You don't need this old thing ^_^ *yoink*

⚙️ Otto and Peter play chess on occasion so they can test/challenge each other's intelligence- which, more often than not, ends in a tie/cat's game. Riley either watches with stone-still focus or gets bored and makes the knight pieces kiss.
⚙️ Peter and Riley like to play/download games onto Otto's computer when he's away from his workstation (their collective favorite being Minecraft) as well as buy new ones off Steam with Peter's money. This pisses Otto off, obviously, but he lets it slide as long as they don't fuck around with any important documents/emails. Sometimes, he even lets them explain the game they're playing to him before shooing them away from the computer.
⚙️ Otto often sends Peter and Riley off to do menial chores, like buying groceries, cleaning, restocking on water bottles, etc. He also gives them stranger ones on occasion, like stealing the spare wheel off of a stranger's car, bringing him the keypad of a public vending machine, or buying all of the coin cell batteries the Walmart down the street has to offer.

After thinking about it for a bit, I'm a little at odds with the scene of Doc having his chip replaced and getting "fixed".
No Way Home spoilers below the cut, of course. I'm just feeling info-dumpy and wanna get it out of my system :}
So:
In Spiderman 2 it's pretty clear he has two-way communication with the actuators; they aren't screaming at him to do their bidding or taking matters into their own hands, like the Green Goblin did with Norman- they've gone through the effort of making sure their creator (or "father", as they refer to him in the novelization) is on their side. They care about him!
They:
Shield him from danger/harm on several occasions
Perform small, unrewarding tasks for him (lighting his cigar, holding Harry's glass of liquor to his mouth, taking off his hat in the bank)
Treat him delicately, as is shown when they gently remove his blindfold and wait for him to wake up in the hospital
Don't use any physical violence or restraint whatsoever to maintain control over him
When he's out on the dock and mentions needing money to rebuild his machine, only to reassure himself that he's not a criminal, it's shown that the actuators begin talking back and forth with him, convincing him that such a crime would be justified as implied by Doc's dialogue ("You're right, the real crime would be not finishing what we started"). He then colloquially starts referring to him and the actuators as "we", completely by his own volition. He's being influenced by them, but not brainwashed- if he was, then there's no way he would've listened to what Peter had to say during the final confrontation.
My point here is: the way that Doc is controlled by his arms probably doesn't seem like control to him. If the novelization (once again) has any say in it, he sees them as his offspring ("My babies are multi-talented") and likely trusts and cares for them just as much as they do for him. Their control of him relies on the manipulation of that trust.
So, when MCU Peter decides to replace his chip against his will, I can't help but think that the dead silence he heard upon waking up/rebooting must've been absolutely devastating.
It doesn't make sense to me that he'd feel nothing but immediate relief and gratitude, as from his point of view, Peter essentially just murdered his creations by removing their individuality and reverting them back into mechanical puppets. Even if it did come as a relief of sorts to him, I'm inclined to believe he'd also feel empty, lonely, sad, grievous etc- a parent would be grateful that their child stopped crying/throwing a fit, but not so grateful if they discovered that their child was dead.
Similarly, somebody might be grateful in the long run to have escaped an abusive/codependent relationship, but still go through immense pain while coping with the loss of it- especially since psychological/emotional abuse often relies on gestures of love and positive reinforcement to keep the victim from leaving.
tldr: I believe having Doc Ock grieve the "death" of his actuators and go through a messier "fixing" process (and maybe even hold some resentment/hostility towards MCU Peter for taking them all away against his will) could've been really interesting, as well as making his decision to assist him and the other two Spidermen in combat later on hold a lot more weight.
