I’ve been working on some more portraits for my WIP’s family tree and thought it would be a fun challenge to try a background with some dragons!

#You guys get to see it first because I neglect this sideblog more than other places #Details: the domed building is a religious temple. the three mountains are part of a volcano.#the dragons in the background belong to her and her younger sisters.#she doesn’t come around her family often but she does love them. it’s complicated #(because I love complex family dynamics)#once you see the rest of the portraits you will Understand she is a carbon copy of their father!#I wasn’t kidding when I said my last piece killed me. #I usually use the spectra brush but for this one I decided to try something different and only use my fave dry oil brush!#The tracked time for this is 32 hours and I used every single layer possible for these dimensions. #click for full view please and thank you. tumblr kills the quality otherwise #there’s only one (1) thing I find more difficult than drawing a piece and it’s naming it. this one had ten different ones before I chose #shoutout to the TDSS brushes set because the dry oil-paint was a lifesaver for V’s earring. IT LOOKS SO GOOD BECAUSE OF IT.#about said earring: I used the same colors of Rem’s eyes for it because it seemed romantic and very fitting for them 🥰🥰🥰#then there’s the embroidery which I referenced from Egenolff's Modelbuch but with a dragon & wolf because OC lore & motifs!#anyway.
