So, it’s been a month since 24Hundred launched and opened it’s first every physical store - our beloved flagship store in the heart of Richmond (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia). It was a long hard couple of months leading up to the launch, but with a sick team around me - we were able to deliver exactly what I had set out to achieve - a record store and boutique-feel clothing store all in one, and we’re sure to leave all egos at the door!

The response has been overwhelming - from the 300+ kids that showed up for the launch party, a signing session with Motionless in White, Hacktivist and Asking Alexandria, through to everyone that ventures into the store. Old through young, the initial “wow” factor is obtained with all loving the look and vibe of what we’ve built in here.

When I was younger - record stores were a thing kept underground. Everything from location to the attitudes carried by staff - there was always a cloud of “too cool for school” hanging above. While we definitely want to be fresh as hell in here, we certainly want everyone to feel welcome - a sentiment I feel is firmly received with all customers leaving happy after shopping with us here at 24Hundred.

So whether you decided to just wander in on the way past, a new shopper at 24Hundred.net or have been there from the staff - we thank you all for the support, not only in 24Hundred - but the independent live music scene, for without this, we all wouldn’t have what we love so dear.
