「 RESPONSIBLE. 」

normally she just takes winn’s words for surface banter, a sort of self-deprecating humour that they both partake in, but lately she’s been noticing it occurring more often - so much so that she manages to do a double take before coming to a standstill, her hands resting on her hips when she turns to face him. ❝ you do plenty right, winn, ❞ she says. in fact, she firmly believes this place wouldn’t run as smoothly as it does if not for him at the helm. he’s helped streamline many systems and has created more solutions than problems since he got his work id. ❝ i know i can be a little... you know... ❞ she waves a hand absently, unable to find the word she wants to use to describe herself, while exhaling slowly. ❝ you just -- you do everything right, winn. remember that. ❞

it’s been quiet for a while as they lay atop of alex’s bed. she doesn’t want to say anything out of fear that she would just get up and leave, but she also wants to ask so many questions; questions about her life, about her favourite foods or colours, or where all these scars have came from; the latter consuming her thoughts as fingertips gently trace the lines until they stop to the left of elektra’s navel. her palm then lays flat as she uses her other elbow to push herself up, putting her in a position above the dark haired female. lips pull up at the side before she leans in, pressing gently kisses to the lines along her collarbone. ❝ --- how did you get this one? ❞

she has very little interest in the movie. in fact, if asked, she wouldn’t even be able to tell you what’s happened in the past hour of run time. she’s been too focused on the woman lounging beside her. barely ten minutes into the movie, alex found herself curled up into the woman’s side, her opposite leg gently resting atop of the blonde’s knee. contentment. that’s what this is. with sara’s attention on the screen again, alex leans up and gently ghosts her lips along the woman’s jaw before slowly peppering soft kisses the slope of neck, fingers soon curling side of her shirt, as if anchoring herself to the couch in case she floats away.

fingers gently graze over the woman’s cheek moments after inspecting it for further damage. it pains her to see diana this way -- the knowledge of fast healing not even making a dent in her worry -- and she wants nothing more than to take it away completely. instead, her thumb stills on the chiselled archway of a god-like cheekbone while she leans in, slowly pressing the softest of kisses atop of the stitches. ❝ — that is, uhm... ❞ she pulls back, cheeks burning bright as the realisation of her actions start to sink in. jumping to her feet, alex quickly grabs the tray and takes it over to the sink. ❝ you should be good, just... take it easy. try not to fist bump with your face for a while... ❞
