July 7 • Saturday • B Side For the past couple of days, I’ve been inventorying my neckwear. Not for bragging rights haha, but due to my drawers beginning to overflow, especially the one that houses my blue neckties - 58 in case you’re wondering; 59 since I have another on the way. Despite my ‘dilemma’, I welcomed @oxfordrowe Floral Foulard necktie. Initially, pink grabbed my attention some months ago, but I felt the need to add something a bit more conservative to my collection of neckties. A closer look at its pattern, the small flowers offer such a subtle appeal. Wednesday. I woke up wishing it was my holiday (vacation as we “Americans” term it.) Do you ever feel this way? What motivates you to get up and get going? For me, it is and was assembling another ensemble, which in turn, provides you with an additional eye • dēə. As usual, I thought quickly about my options and made my selections (figured I’d go back to an oldie, yet a favorite. Yes, I do repeat ensembles at times. I am not rich nor do I use social media to live pretentiously.) Suddenly, I realized I’m down to black T-shirts, which does not sit underneath a white dress shirt well. Sidebar & suggestion avoid having your white dress shirt like pink and or dark (depending on your complexion); use a white or grey T-shirt instead (typically a V-neck for myself since I do not like to expose my crew neck with the collar button(s) undone. Since I’m a ‘responsible adult’, I did not flip a used white T’s inside-out. So, then what? Easy, a colored shirt. Yes, I own many of them actually (white is just the best & versatile canvas - it can be discussed, but never debatable.) So, as I approached the closet, I knew exactly what to wear - my @cordone_1956 blue stripe. It did the job just as well…well, after another quick necktie and pocket square adjustment. Hey, why not wear my brands collectively to pack a punch: @al_ties wonderful grenadine necktie & @oxfordrowe paisley wool/silk pocket square.
