peace & love

i want to experience love. slow burn friends to lovers. feeling an instant connection with someone. listening to them rant about their day. deep talks. random surprise gifts for them. movie marathon nights. warm hugs. just real, authentic love.

thinking about how maybe, there is someone across the world who dreams the same things as me. who loves the same way i do. who views life like i do. how somewhere out there, there is surely someone else who will understand you and appreciate you for who you are. platonic or romantic, it comforts me to know that there will be at least one person who would see me as a fellow human being, who would cherish me and understand me in ways no one, not even my own family, can. i’m uncertain as to whether i will ever have the chance to meet you. but if i don’t, i know you are somewhere out there. and that is enough for now.

what i realize now is that it’s okay to be desperate. who’s to tell us how to live our life and what our limits are? we are allowed to be desperate, it’s human nature to want so much even though you already have an abundance. we can yearn for a completely different life, we can dream big even at 13. being desperate to live a life you want isn’t pathetic or weak. it simply shows that you are a human being filled with passion, love and hope for the better things to come in the future.
