Fanart I drew of Hannibal and Will, combining the red string theory.

Starting from the wine glass, the red wine symbolizes blood. The glass shattering is a reference to the shattering teacup metaphor, the sharp shards flow around them. The wine spills from the shattering glass and creates the red string that ties them together.
I drew the red string in this way to portray how intimate but also violent their relationship is. The string connects but also squeezes them together painfully.
The antlers are a reference to the stag, Hannibal and Will share just one pair of antlers to show how they understand each other, in Hannibalâs words, how theyâre âjust alikeâ.
The colors I used for this are also intentional. Red is a color of aggression and passion, seen in the wine and string, while green is a color of balance, seen behind them and the light that slightly touches their faces. Because despite the aggression and violence of their relationship, Hannibal and Will share a deep emotional connection and understanding, creating a balance between them.
