for all the major guys we've met so far! I'll reveal gender/sexualities of other major characters when we get to them. My Them/It ass is sad I didn't make any of them nonbinary, but that's just how it turned out.

as for bg cats, I only know a few because these guys mean like nothing to me. They're below the cut cause I added pictures since I don't expect people to know who bg character #71 is.

Aren't Lain's stripes a hassle to draw through several pages?

not particularly! They're random besides the tip of his tail being black. I draw the orange stripe down his back first and select it and scribble the black stripes in. Them being located inside of another marking really makes it easier.

This is gonna sound weird of a theory, but is it possible that this cat that the King just killed was Mariner‘s father?

Even though the background characters generally carry little importance it's nice to see the same faces pop up again and again, makes them seem a lot less faceless.

Thank you <3 It is not a requirement and I don't disparage anyone for not doing repeat bg characters (bc it is a lot of extra work. One of the only reasons I'm doing it for wac is I just have a lot of old cat ocs lying around), but I like the little life it adds : )

Hey, I was kind of confused, I saw someone’s fanart of WAC that was reblogged here (lain & that other cat lol..I forgot her name)

and I didn’t know lain was trans, is it later in the comic that it actually mentions lain being trans?

There's never been the words "Lain is trans" because these cats don't have the term transgender, but it's been talked about/heavily implied in many scenes. and how Lain is treated because of his birth sex will continue to come up.

How long do you think it will take to finish WAC?

I sadly don't have an actual year range, just "a while". I'll at least have entered my thirties before it's done (I'm 25 for reference), but even then that's like a gut feeling.

If you want a VERY ROUGH ESTIMATED NUMBER; if we say it takes around 4 years per act (I'm halfway through Act I production wise and it's been over 2 years since I started but let's round down for my sanity lmao), that would mean it would take me ~12 years to complete the comic. This doesn't take into account chapter length, complexity of pages, or exterior factors that could fasten or hinder the production process. 12 years makes me die a little bit inside, so let's both hope for a lot less than that!
