we're the ones who live.

to those who have been following me for a while (especially before my reboot) you would know that i have been a part of twd rp community for 4-5 years now and about 3 have been spent under this url. i joined the twd rp community when i was going into 8th grade and i am currently a senior in highschool. being a part of this community and writing as michonne has honestly changed my life. i don’t think i would be who i am today if i never made this account and if i had never made the friends i did. i have so many fond memories from my time on this account and i will never ever forget them. but i think my time to leave has come. 

i would love to continue to write on here and make more memories with all of you beautiful people but this account very quickly got in the way of life. i’m graduating next year and i’m so focused on applying to college, getting a job, etc etc that there is absolutely no time for me to be on this account. saying this makes me so fucking sad and i hate that i even have to say it but here i am. i knew that i wouldn’t be able to stay here forever but i think i was just putting off a formal goodbye for a long ass time as you can tell from my inactivity. with how busy i am and the majority of my friends on here moving on from this community, i can’t see myself staying here much longer. i definitely will not be closing my account and i have no idea if i will ever return, but i just want to THANK YOU all from the bottom of my heart. i’ve grown up on this account and i am so thankful to all of the beautiful people i have met during my time on here.

                                        she gently take the toy from the boy’s hands, palms closing around its form. there’s a serene smile adorning lips, curling among the worn features of her face. what she loses always finds a way back to her–something she never thought was possible until her chance meeting with rick. “ guess this must be the post-apocalyptic way of turning into a cat lady. “

                                        there’s a hand in his hair, calloused fingers running through the locks and soft brown eyes staring into his blue. her stare does not waver-- if she could, he would be all she looked at. he’s her sun in this world of darkness. her anchor in this sea. the blood that runs through her veins. to her, HE’S EVERYTHING. when she’s with him, time stands still; just the two of them against the world. her home. he holds her heart upon the palm of his hand.

the lovers are covered with sanguine. blood seeping into their skin, a stain that she could never quite get out. but even so, her hand remains in his hair while the other is intertwined with his own. the blood is just an afterthought when they’re together. he helps her forget, and michonne hopes she does the same for him.

          daryl doesn’t need to see her up close to know that something is on her mind: her body language says upset, and the way the heels of her palms wipe at her eyes as he approaches the ladder to the watch post only confirms his suspicions. slowly, he climbs up to her, pulling himself up onto the platform and leaning against the wall. after a moment his hand reaches over to her, resting rough but gentle fingertips on the back of her bicep as though to silently offer his support, no matter what’s going on in her head.

          ❛ you a’right ? ❜          he asks, but it’s more of an option than a question: she can either tell him what’s wrong, or she can tell him that she’s fine and he’ll be on his way. daryl just wants to let her know that he’s there, especially if she needs someone but doesn’t know how to ask.

                                       the touch offered to her bicep is nothing but comforting; a gentle reminder that she’s not alone. michonne leans into it, basking in the intimacy it provides. head lifts just the slightest to meet his gaze, brown hues meeting blue, and in that stare she sees TRUST and support--evoking that trust from within her. 

                                        the corners of her lips lift in a smile, eyes crinkling just slightly at the edges–a mere mention of the growing baby never fails to illuminate her soul. a fleeting image of glenn being the one maggie asks passes within her mind and MELANCHOLY washes over michonne. she looks into the others eyes and sees nothing but strength so she pushes the sadness away and replaces it with her own strength; if maggie can be strong now, so can she. they need to remain strong for each other–there’s no time for sadness, not now. 

     ‘ I DON’T LIKE PLAYING WITH OTHERS. ’ to be frank, if he doesn’t recognize the name from any of dad’s writings, then he’s not keen on keeping anyone around. he knows everyone his brother knew. at least they all got the good sense to keep out of his way. ‘ you can go ahead and blow town. there’s probably a ghost that needs bustin’, something smaller. ’ // @waveringhumanity
