I like to think that Rev messes with Tech’s things a lot, causing them to fail. Of course, Tech gets mad but doesn’t do anything since Rev makes up for it through his field work. He’d definitely retaliate against Rev by messing with his things too, creating an endless cycle of chaos between those two. I’d lean into the classic coyote and roadrunner dynamic more. The coyote thinks his plan will work only for the roadrunner to mess it up and have it backfire on the coyote badly. Tech would definitely do all the hating in the love hate relationship, Rev’s just there to have fun-

Rev is an absolute troll to Tech and Tech deals with it because hey, Rev’s pretty useful. He’s also a surprisingly good assistant so there’s that.

Once they stop messing around and confess their feelings for one another, they upgrade from toxic husbands to villain husbands. They’ll mess with each other for funsies but will absolutely destroy anyone else. Will the relationship get healthier or stay as lovingly toxic? Who knows?

Out of the two of them, Tech has the most trust and people issues. He’s been taken advantage of for his intelligence and kindness. Mallory’s betrayal was the start of his descent which then ended once he got his powers. Tech tells himself that he finds Rev useful at the moment and will get rid of him the second he isn’t, but he has a hard time believing his own words. Rev’s antics somewhat amuse him and the roadrunner makes sure he takes care of his needs, especially after long hours locked up in his lab.

Rev’s main issues were with feeling restricted and controlled, he hated it. He likes that Tech doesn’t try to control him, letting him do what he pleases as long as he doesn’t get in the way (which he still does). Rev can do fine on his own as a villain and doesn’t have anything to gain from siding with Tech, but he still stays. He hates to admit it but he doesn’t know what to do with himself without the coyote there.

I see that a lot of people put this mainly on Ace, saying that he had some failed romantic relationships.

I have a long list of headcanons, but most are pretty silly. I’d say I have some for Zadavia, mainly her backstory. I like to think that Optimatus is her younger brother, who she cared deeply for. Optimatus’ descent into madness and lust for power scared her, seeing the sweet brother she cared for turn into something darker. For a while, she thought she had killed him after escaping and guilt has been eating her from the inside.

Zadavia sees the Loonatics as her children, especially Ace since I headcanon that they were the first to meet one another. She sees some of her brother in Ace and wants to be better for them.

In a rewrite idea, I gave Zadavia light manipulation powers which lets her change her appearance by manipulating the reflection of light. I wanted to give Optimatus the opposite, like something related to black holes or dark matter. As cliche as it is, I really love Sun and moon dynamics given the codependency and overshadowing of one party. Maybe at some point, Optimatus felt overshadowed by his sister or felt she was holding him and their planet back with her more diplomatic approaches. I still don’t have a solid concept so I’ve been playing around with a few ideas.

Duck felt pretty bad about Pinkster not being adopted so he spent his birthday wishes, secretly wishing Pinkster got adopted or even better, have him as a sibling. His self confidence nearly went to pieces when Pinkster became a villain and the others were there to comfort him.

Not sure if this one would be heavy but I headcanon that if there was a threat flying at the Loonatics head on, Tech and Slam wouldn’t hesitate to take the brunt of it.

That’s a pretty good question. What if Tech and/or Rev were villains? Tech would be motivated by the pursuit of order and respect. He rarely got respect at ACME Tech and most wanted to use his inventions for profit rather than the betterment of society. To him, people were too greedy and flawed to achieve perfect harmony. Did he want to eradicate humanity? No, it would be too messy and complications could emerge down the line. What he wanted was to rule it, to use his inventions to upgrade it. After all, technology was made to benefit humanity. He prefers the company of his inventions over people, similar to Robotnik from Sonic and dare I say William Afton from FNAF.

Meanwhile, Rev motivated by the promise of freedom to do as he pleases. His dad wanted him to take over the family business, disregarding his son’s wishes. Rev doesn’t like being tied down and he sees villainy as a way to do as he pleases. He’s smart and fast, with a penchant for chaos.
