hey guys gonna be honest, i agree with this point wholly and entirely but this exact type of phrasing and messaging is the reason normal people find the left so alienating. Soccer is a large part of many peoples cultural identity in almost every country that is not the US. don’t get me wrong, fifa is a bad organization and its stupid that the US is hosting the world cup in the first place but like can we recognize that we could be a little nicer please

I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.
