and if you understand the systems of structure in the US you would know that every most conservative governments in the US have gutted/regulated the IRS in a way where they basically do not have the resources to audit rich people anymore because it is much easier watching the money flow of someone with two credit cards some student loans and a retirement account than someone who has a huge open and active portfolio that is constantly moving money everywhere

this is literally textbook what the “free market” mfs talk about constantly, this is the future they asked for

and btw not to sound like a lib but most of the reason this happened is not because people were protesting, it’s because people voted for people who were pro weed legalization. i hate how the online left is so quick to say voting is fake the only options is protesting and if not that outright revolution. i hate it break it to you guys but most progressive change takes fucking forever to do it and the people who are in charge do not give a fuck about you spending your time outside on the street, in fact they’re openly dismissive of that. community building 1000000000% step one but you are dense if you think voting isn’t what caused this and other changes to occur
