IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 Pool Watch
The IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 Pool remains a reinterpretation of Gérald Genta’s classic 1970s SL Ref. 1832; its distinctive feature is the debut of a fresh "clear water green" dial, perfectly suited for summer. The 35mm stainless steel case measures just 9.4mm in thickness and features alternating vertical and circular brushed finishes alongside mirror-polished surfaces, creating a striking interplay of light and shadow that accentuates the design's contours. The bezel is secured by five screws, while the lugs and "H"-link bracelet incorporate ergonomic refinements to ensure a comfortable fit. A screw-down crown with protective guards provides water resistance to 100 meters.
The dial retains the iconic three-dimensional "grid" pattern of the original Ingenieur SL; the recessed texture is created by stamping an iron base, followed by a "Qingshui" green PVD coating that infuses the watch with a vibrant, summery energy. It features a classic three-hand layout with a date window at 3 o'clock, while the hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. Powering the watch is the IWC 47110 automatic movement, which operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
