Before the tour: Set It Off!
Before they set off on the road with Yellowcard next Spring, I caught up with guitarist Dan Clermont, to pick his brain about what he's most looking forawrd to and all things Cinematics.
-Firstly introduce yourself and your role within Set It Off.
Hi my name is Dan Clermont and I play guitar in Set It Off.
-What sets you apart from other bands in the genre? I feel like what sets apart on the musical end of things from other bands is that we have a very heavy focus on the orchestral side of things just as much as our guitars, bass drums etc
-What made you decide to incorporate your classical training to your style of music? We felt like that if we kept writing the way we were, we would have been stuck in a lottery of bands hoping to get picked out and become the next big thing. So we had a tool that we weren't tapping into and that very few bands were doing and took the leap and haven't looked back since.
-From sleepless nights to an unbreakable circus freak, where do you find inspiration for the lyrics on your new album Cinematics? I know that Cody when writing our lyrics pulls everything from his personal experiences. Simply using life itself as inspiration.
-Why is the album called Cinematics when the cover, and tracklisting both feature a dreamcatcher, why not use dreamcatcher as the title? We actually played around with the idea of naming the album 'Dream Catcher' but we didn't want to title the album based off of one track. So we decided on Cinematicsand used the dream catcher as a logo. If you look very carefully inside the webs of the dream catcher, all of the pictures involve the subjects of the different songs.
-How are you going to prepare for your tour with Yellowcard in the UK next Spring?
We have a decent amount of downtime between finishing off 2012 and then doing that tour so we're just going to rehearse and make sure we are as tight as possible once the shows finally come. Before that though, we have a full US tour that kicks off this week with Sparks The Rescue and Handguns, followed by another US tour with Every Avenue in December!
-What can fans expect from your live shows? A very high energy, in-your-face emotional dance party. We like to have fun and crowd interaction is very important to us - so the harder they go, the harder we do.
-Anything you're particularly looking forward to whilst being in the UK? I definitely want to go visit Trafalgar Square, it was one of my favourite places I visited when I was a child and I think it will be really cool to recreate that.
-Finally, What's lies in the future for Set It Off? Our plan is to stay on the road as much as possible supporting our new record Cinematics and playing shows in front of as many kids as possible!
-When you were younger, what was your typical choice of costume and why? I was always a ninja turtle when I was kid. I was all about karate and martial arts and what not when I was kid, so that just seemed fitting. I wanted nothing more than to wake up and be Michelangelo haha.
-What’s your favourite Halloween treat? Candy Corn without question!
-Spooky film of choice and why? Texas Chainsaw Massacre (The Remake) is by far one of the most terrifying movies I've ever seen. I think what freaks me out still to this day about it, is the fact that it was based off a true story and they never caught him.
-What’s the worst trick you ever got? (If you got any when trick-or-treating) My brother had to babysit me one Halloween when we were kids and he shut all the power off in the house and invited his friends over without telling me and pretty much set up a "murder scene" for me to find when the lights turned on.
-What will you be carving into your pumpkin this year? Haha sadly I have never carved a pumpkin before. I really need to get on it!
*Webitor note: this was meant to post last night, however Tumblr had some issues. So better late than never!
-When you were younger, what was your typical choice of costume and why? My mom used to dress me up like David Bowie from The Labyrinth, ha! I think Alex from The Clockwork Orange is always fun, I love that movie.
-What’s your favourite Halloween treat? I'm not so sure about that... but on Devils Night I always treat myself to Chinese food & The Crow, has to be done!
-Spooky film of choice and why? On the 31st everyone needs to watch Halloween, simple...It's such a classic horrror movie and beat's all the rubbish they're releasing these days! I adore this movie called "Suicide Club" so that's my choice.
-What will you be carving into your pumpkin this year? Always! It's my favourite time of year so I like to make the effort!
*Webitor note: this was meant to post last night, however Tumblr had some issues. So better late than never!
Set It Off - Cinematics
Okay, let me set the scene: let's pretend we're mad doctors luring over a bubblin' cauldron, mixing up the next big thing. Over by the dust-ridden-cobweb-covered shelves is rows, upon rows, of bands both current and old. You stumble over -all crazy 'n all- and pick up 3 bands. Back at the cauldron you spill in The Used, followed by a gulp of Panic! at the Disco -the fever years, and finish with a dash of new blood, Fearless Vampire Killers. A boom, bang and what have you later and hey presto! You have Set It Off.
This quintet from Tampa, Florida have had every social network buzzing about their latest release Cinematics. Upon first listen it's no surprise that vocalist Cody Carson is classically trained, having attended the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and this is evidently heard throughout this 12-track LP. From the piano laced "No Control" to the heavy horn under-toned "Plastic Promises". And lyrics throughout even Mr. Urie would turn three shades of green at. This is definite orchestra rock at it's catchiest.
The album itself possesses a vibe you would want to associate with a Tim Burton film, as snippets of Carson's borderline demented commentary surfaces in such tracks; like "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" and the appropriately named "Freak Show". Something that would attract those smitten with a certain Laurence Beveridge of UK's own Fearless Vampire Killers. Though, it's not all Burton based and classically crazy, as things slow down with "Dad's Song" and "Dreamcatcher", highlighting the potential beyond the theatrics.
The band, completed by Dan Clermont & Zach Dewall (guitars), Austin Kerr (bass) and Maxx Danziger (drums), -who are currently on tour in the States with There For Tomorrow, combine the talent from their past and aim to bring it into the future with their modern twist, a standard we have seen by Cinematics. Overall this record is a revamp on a style which had been rarely seen since the early days of Panic! at the Disco and even earlier My Chemical Romance. And if this is just the beginning, then the future looks very bright for this promising band from the sunshine state.
Set It Off are set to make their debut appearance over here supporting Yellowcard early next year.

It's been over a year since Baltimore's All Time Low had released anything new which didn't linger from 2011's Dirty Work. An album which had fans question whether this was their best work. However, after a few stints in the UK playing the infamous Reading & Leeds festival -as well as framing the performances with warm up shows in Dublin and Edinburgh- they're back with their 5th studio album Don't Panic. Although the album does not hit the shelves as of yet, we've been teased with the likes of single The Reckless and the Brave and For Baltimore now Somewhere In Neverland has surfaced. A track which has fans all over the interwebs creating. Though, fear not, it's good news. This imaginary track plays up to that childhood story we all cling to, even into our 20's. That story -of course- is Peter Pan. The lyrics toy with that ole love interest, Wendy and the big adventure of the story, Lost Boys included. Lyrics aside the track is really hard to hate, or even love to hate. It's catchy, infectious and upbeat. Fans of these boyband jesters will eat this all up, as this plays right into the vibe you would've heard from the likes of Six Feet Under The Stars, The Beach & The Party Scene.
Maybe All Time Low are just preaching to what we all still believe in. Not growing up, holding onto that youth. Whether this is subliminal or just a quirky twist on a old favourite, this has for certain left a big appetite for more, so Don't Panic Lost Boys (&Girls), all will be revealed October 9th.
For Fans Of: All Time Low (duh!), Boys Like Girls & You Me At Six P.S: Also for fans of Peter Pan. P.P.S: For fans of those who just want to smile.
After a brief absence, Pierce the Veil are back with this beauty of a debut from new album Collide With The Sky. But not only are we treated to the guys of PTV, they've also brought along Sleeping With Sirens's frontman Kellin Quinn along for the ride.
The video see's both frontman having a go at the The Dark Knight opening scene...without the clown masks. Look above to find out what I exactly mean... **** (4/5)
fun. - London Heaven Monday 9th July 2012
The last time I saw fun. it was 2010, in a room about 10x bigger than tonight's venue. Also it wasn't a headline, they didn't have a song on Glee, a top 10 charting album and they didn't have a 5x platinum single under their belts. However fast forward to present day and here we are. In a room brimming with fans bursting at the edges and spilling into the bar area. Tonight it was their show, the fans may have come for their support Bluebell tonight, but they stayed for the headline act, fun.
With energy that of a sold out musical on London's West End, fun.'s frontman Nate Ruess along with guitarists Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff burst onto the stage belting out tonight's opener One Foot. Demonstrating how immaculate Ruess's vocals really are, as he effortlessly sings each lyric. The band continue to prance about the stage like it's their playground, with little energy burst within the crowd as it's evident who has been an avid listener to this band since forming in 2008, as you hear screams as a result of songs like; Walking The Dog, As Least I'm Not (As Sad As I Used To Be), The Gambler, All The Pretty Girls and Barlights are performed.
However, it's not until (that 5x platinum song) We Are Young is played, that's it's evident the majority of the crowd came for fun. but obviously stayed for this track. As the crowd finally wakes up, as from front-to-back the room erupts with ecstatic listeners. The crowd surprisingly overpowers Ruess's strong vocals, which leaves nothing but a gleaming smile on the lit up frontman's face.
Before tonight's band ends this buzzing set and leaves the stage, they perform The Rolling Stone's You Can't Always Get What You Want, evoking a sing-a-long that would put even the West End to shame. fun. then leaves the stage with smiles all round.
However, as the crowd pound tonight's floor for more -like a scene from Jumanji-, making the ground vibrate with anticipation for tonight's band to grace the stage for that one last song, the song we all know is coming. Finally releasing tonight's anticipation, the band walk on stage for the last time. Ending the show with title track of their latest album Some Nights, raising the crowd to be nothing more than Ruess puppets as he commands the room to join him in a final dance.
Tonight shows that once-upon-a-little-band fun. have made sure that they deserve that name in headlights, not under a headliner's name but a headliner in their own right. As with this outstanding performance, I'm sure that this will be the smallest gig the band will play for a long while. Next stop, world domination, I'm sure.
If you're not having fun. by now, you're missing out.

Marianas Trench - Desperate Measures Our favourite band from Canada is back with their latest video for new single Desperate Measures. The video see's a dolled up vixen creating havoc with a bit of voodoo, whose victims -of course- are the guys themselves. Very Sabrina the Teenage Witch eh? (If you're not a 90's kid you may not get that show reference). Carrying on with the toy theme that ran through the latest album Ever After, you see vocalist Josh Ramsey turn from Cowboy to Cheerleader as well with the other guys being pulled and primmed, dance moves n all.
The video is fun, colourful and pretty crazy, though from the likes of Marinas Trench...what more would you expect?! **** (4/5)
The Dropper's Neck - self titled EP
Not to be pigeon-holed by their influence; The Dropper's Neck echo stylings from the likes of The Stooges, The Black Keys & Queens of the Stone Age. With their 4 track EP they've gripped the attention of most of the South East, now it's time for the rest of the country to listen up to this very promising quintet.
There's no denying that the band from Essex ooze with talent, and with tracks like opener Poor Excuse it's evidently shown. A killer opening, check. Raw vocals, check. A perfect example of old-school rock, infinite checks. With the mainstream and popularity highlighting all the same pop hybrid rock, it's an eye-opener to see that quality aged rock still exists. A perfect example being this EP.
In the same suit as Poor Excuse, Sick follows in the same recipe as the EP's opener. With screeching guitars, dark and somewhat animus vocals, which gives this band a somewhat brooding feel to them. However, this assumption is turned onto it's head with Divorcee, a track which is stripped of it's old-school rock feel and a more refined and higher pitch as opposed to what we had been hearing, where the guitars are louder, the vocals are less brooding and more harmonic and complimenting percussion that matches vocalist Lloyd Mathews to a tee, there's really nothing to fault this track on.
Closing this short EP is I Could, which returns to that brooding sounding exterior I mentioned earlier, with sounds which is reminiscent of the previous two tracks. However, we are left to a turn in the tables; as the tracks near enough ends with a giant punch in the face -metaphorically speaking, of course. As the band give it all they have to end this EP with a bang.
All in all, if this EP is anything to go by then The Dropper's Neck from Essex will be the next name you'll be hearing around, not only Essex, but every corner of the country. As with an EP like this, who knows what they have in-store for us with their debut album.
All I know is that there will most certainly be a constant stare on this band until that beauty is released. I know I'll be keeping an eye out, I think my ears would not forgive me if I didn't.

After a string of festival apperances Black Veil Brides are back with new single Coffin.
In obvious Black Veil Brides style it's dark, very dark. With the premise of the video being around an ancient and rather demonic funeral of the deceased -the deceased being that of Andy Biersack himself. Though, not is all as it seems when the sung narration is by the ghost of the deceased, stuck in purgatory. And when a masked villain tries to steal an item from said coffin, hell is released..literally. Though the wandering Biersack arrives and slaps a book on the coffin and all is well. A somewhat less exciting ending. However, the mise en scene of the whole video is pretty remarkable, though it may be dark, it is also quite beautifully haunting.
The track itself has everything you would expect from a Black Veil Brides song. Catchy, gut yelling choruses. Screeching guitars, pounding drums and that signature deep and raspy vocals provided by Biersack. Resulting in 5 minutes of catchy-as-hell-new-favourite-song-worthy material. From the Rebels EP, it's not a new one, however come October 30th the BVB army will be treated to a whole new album.
An LP that has been said to be hailing from an entirely new direction... intrigued no? *****(5/5)
Searching Alaska - Summits Label - Unsigned Release date - 18th June
Okay, I know what you're thinking.. a rock band with a female vocalist, which means they're going to sound like a) Paramore, b) Versa Emerge or c) a mixture of both. However, Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce you to an alternative option into the mix, d) none of the above. So, get familiar to the new band next door; Searching Alaska.
Within the Surrey/Essex music scene, we have had the likes of You Me At Six, We Are The Ocean and now disbanded All Forgotten. However, there's a lack and that lack is a female fronted band. With the likes of bands such as Consort With Romeo, who called it quits a fair few years ago, and bands like According To Her disbanding at a drop of a hat, it leaves a gap in the market eager to be filled. And with the media calling everything female fronted 'the new Paramore', it makes this task something more of a challenge. So finally, we see an end to the void with a punch back to the media, in form of Searching Alaska -a unique band in their own right, far from that fiery haired fronted band. Oh, and they are not empty handed, no they come baring gifts in the form of their debut EP -mastered by Paul Leavitt, who has worked with the likes of Emarosa, Set Your Goals, All Time Low and Versa Emerge-, Summits.
Opening track Step Back jolts you right into pounding breakdowns and beautiful vocals provided by vocalist Christina Rotondo. With catchy choruses and fierce guitars in tack it seems this band mean business. Catchy-as-hell, this a blinder of an opener, proving that Searching Alaska deserves to be heard and highlighted as the ones to watch this year.
Second track takes a dive in the upbeat energy we were greeted with, as unlike the opener, Puzzles has a more darker vibe to it, and with lyrics such as 'i'm looking for the right way to do the wrong thing and I'm playing with fire...' as well as 'I refuse to cheat' suggest that this band are far from wanting that squeaky clean image; something most bands pursue to keep hold of.
Next up Walking On Worlds, This track follows through with what you have to love about Searching Alaska, big choruses accompanied by infectious music; a combination you know is going to kill live. Walking On Worlds is pretty standard paced, a middle mixture of the two tracks before. A little dark but with that something extra bringing it up to that SA twist. Though, like a spanner into the works, 2:30 into this track we are greeted by a guest vocalist -that some of you Surrey kids may find familiar, ex-Kenai/All Forgotten vocalist Dan Lawrence. Lawrence compliments, if not adds to the whole feel to the track. All in all, Walk On Worlds is a track you'll be hitting the repeat button on for days to come.
Things slow down a bit with next track, Anchors; this being far more acoustic based, as opposed to the faster paced rhythm of the rest of the EP. However, don't be put off by that, as soon as you have them figured out this unpredictable band are back with those big 'ole choruses. Anchors is a delight to the ears, with flawless vocals married to the tranquil percussion, further highlighting the talent the entire band has. Living proof that not all songs need to be electric to be worthy.
The EP ends with A Glass Case of Emotion, though as opposed to what you're thinking.. it's not a song about the film Anchorman nor is it about Will Ferrell trapped in a phone box -it's better. As ending the 5 track EP by how it started this track is uplifting, catchy and thanks to the echoing gang vocals, will be ringing in your head hours after you've finished listening to this CD.
All in all, this is a charm of a debut. Showcasing that there's still talent left in your local music scenes. And that there's still hope for bands out there to make it on their own and manage to accomplish a hell of a lot. Searching Alaska will the band to watch, something I'm sure everyone will be doing after listening to Summits. With wide eyes and an ear to the floor we will be waiting and watching for this band to infect listeners music collections like a beautiful plague. And be sure to note down this day because this band will be big, just watch them go.
Here's the 411: Members: Christina Rotondo, Jake Ringsell, Toby Campen, Damien Mole & Jamie Abela. Ones to listen to: Step Back & Walk On Worlds.
For fans of: Deaf Havana, You Me At Six & Yellowcard. Okay, okay if you're into Paramore and the such this is right up your ally too!

I remember one of my first shows outside the mass sizes of Wembley Arena and Brixton Academy was a show at the Carling Islington Academy, featuring a support by little band -at the time- You Me At Six and headliners The Audition -a band I had been waiting years to see. Who would know that as education and my love for music lead me down the path of music journalism, that I would be sitting across from Danny Stevens in sunny Brighton, picking his brain about new EP Chapter II and the recent Slam Dunk festivals. Here's what he had to say..
You’ve been away for a very long time, how does it feel being back? It’s good, it’s hot. WRR:You’ve come at a good time, normally it’s just rain. Really? WRR:Yeah, I think we have our summer this week. [laughs] That’s it? For the rest of the summer? Nah it’s been good, it’s been a lot of fun, the shows have been excellent. So can’t complain.
Chapter II is released here June 11th (yesterday!) How does it differ from previous records? Uhm It’s very rock n roll, it’s very soulful. It’s kind of on both ends of the spectrum. Y’know with everything we do we try to progress, and not write the same album. So I think that we accomplished that again with this one.
Was the writing process different at all with this record? We took a lot of time to write these songs, we wrote about 30 songs and yeah, we have a ton of songs left over... we took a lot of time. We took our time to have fun with it mainly, we didn’t pressure ourselves and we didn’t set a deadline or anything. We wrote organically and it was good.
Your previous records were on Victory Records, whereas this EP is self-released. Do you find it harder being a band without the support of a major label? The only thing that’s tough honestly is just that uhm... the money. Y’know because the label is just a big bank anyway, and it’s difficult to pay for everything yourself. But everything else y’know with the management, PR people and booking agents, that’s all the same. But the only thing that sucks is the money[laughs].
Any new outside inspirations that influenced this record? No, I mean our music taste evolve all the time, so it’s kind of just a reflection of what we’re listening to at the time. Lyrically, it’s about a bitch of a girl so... [laughs].
You’ve been up and down the country doing the Slam Dunk circuit, how are the shows? They’re amazing man, they’re a fucking awesome way to come back to the UK. I’m glad we did that rather than go for headline shows right away, it built our confidence alot y’know so...
WRR: Hatfield was a really good show Yeah, it was fucking awesome.
How do you feel the new material went down? Really well, I was surprised that people actually knew all the words to the new songs, which is cool.
WRR: Good ole Spotify Yeah right [laughs].
What’s your favourite songs to perform live? Uhmm... I think Talkin’, the last song on the EP at the moment is my favourite song to perform. It’s just fast energy, very rock and roll. It’s a lot of fun.
Is there anyone you would want to tour with at the moment? I would love to tour with Fun., I would love to tour with Foxy Shazam too, well them and You Me At Six are our boys, I would love to tour with them again.
How do you keep motivated on tour, especially being so far away from home? I love it man, I love it. So it’s easy for me to stay motivated to have fun. I don’t wanna do anything else, so it’s fun. We know that Seth is no longer in the band, but how does it feel having Joe back? It’s nice, uh I don’t know... it’s different but the same. Having Jimmy is different but it’s nice. He’s a great dude, he’s a great guitar player so can’t really complain much about that.
Have fans welcomed Jimmy? Yeah they have actually, Its nice. Nobody’s booed him off stage yet [laughs], that’s always a plus.
Yesterday in Southampton saw your first headline show in the UK since being back, How did that go? It was cool man, there wasn’t like a ton of people there, but the people who were there were nuts and it was fun. I mean we haven’t played Southampton in like 5 or 6 years so, the fact that anybody came out was a miracle. Same with here (Brighton), we haven’t played here in like 6 years either.
What can fans expect from The Audition in the coming months? We’re actually taking the summer off to start writing again, so hopefully in the fall we’ll be back over here, and we’ll hopefully do another US tour in the fall and stuff or late summer mainly.
Is the new album going to be like Chapter II or are you heading in a new direction? No idea, we’ll see where it goes y’know.
What are you listening to recently? I need new music.
I'm listening to a lot of American bands recently. Mainly, Anarbor and Parachute. Here in the UK-wise? I'm listening to Fearless Vampire Killers. Hope that helps.
NEW VIDEO ALERT: William Beckett - Compromising Me
From the ashes of The Academy Is..., rises William Beckett's solo career, ditching the long drapes and sporting a rather Johnny Depp in Cry Baby look, he's heading in a different direction to his Fueled By Ramen past.
If you're hoping for more of the stylings of TAI... think again. This, unlike TAI..., is far more poppy. With it's catchy chorus, uplifting backing accompanied by a pretty simple video, what's not to like? I think I speak for everyone when I say that we welcome you with open arms, Mr Beckett. Introducing: Marianas Trench
Scrolling through endless amounts of the same posts on blogs, flipping through each music magazine looking for something new but coming up with nothing. Well, nothing that grabs my attention long enough to make an impact. The same music from the UK to the US was posted and highlighted, however on a tour poster for the latest Cab tour (at the time) featured a support band I had not heard of before.
Their name was Marianas Trench, now I know that's the deepest part of the world's ocean, but this wasn't a concept band about the sea, nor was it anything to do with geography. It was a rock band from Canada, and I didn't know it then, but they were my new favourite band.
An album purchase later and a few afternoons doing my research, I quickly found out that truth still rings in finding good music in support bands of your favourite acts. So listen up guys, check out the supports, no matter what gig it is or how well known they are, because you never know, you might find your favourite new band -I know I did.
And with a little help from Mike, lets make them yours too! So here you go UK; your new favourite band from Canada, Marianas Trench. Firstly to introduce you to the UK fans, why the name Marianas Trench? We know it's the deepest part of the world's ocean. But why did you guys choose it for the band? My name is Mike. I'm the bassist/accordian player for Marianas Trench. We actually named the band after our favourite Greek restaurant.
Why should people listen to Marianas Trench if they haven't already?
We hope that our music wont totally suck??? lol. Give it a chance and then you tell us what you think. Our videos are pretty funny too most of the time. It's worth checking those out on youtube.
Who are your inspirations -musically and lyrically?
Influences on us include The Beach Boys, Queen, Foo Fighters, Jellyfish and lots of other bands/artists.
You recently finished production on upcoming video 'Desperate Measures', how do you feel that went? Are you excited for the finished outcome?
I'm very excited to see this finished product. As usual we will be subjecting our fans to many shameless moments. The concept is a neat one and we even used some stunt cables so Josh could be "thrown around". Very cool.
WRR: pictures posted on Twitter here & here.
'Ever After' is rather a concept album, with the toy theme running from the album cover to the snippit from Desperate Measures you posted on Twitter. What made you decide on the whole toy-like theme?
We knew we wanted a strong theme element before we even started the album. Eventually we came to the Dark Toy world concept because it would give us lots of options for cool stage production, videos and we really wanted to enhance the experience of our music.
Also Ever After runs from track 1 to the end with no gaps, it's a different take from your last albums. What made you approach this album this way?
This was to go along with the theme concept. Doing an album like this was our way of trying to create the true complete album listening experience. This seems to be a disappearing thing. By having the album play as one long piece of music it makes it clear to a listener that you are hearing one large piece of work rather than 4 singles and 7 filler tracks or whatever.
Your last video for 'Fallout' included a lot of explosions, was it difficult to shoot? Did anyone get injured?
Nobody got injured. The most difficult part was managing to get all those explosion shots in one take. That large scale, Die Hard Pyro is very expensive so you have to make sure you get every shot right. We had a whole bunch of cameras on that shoot and usually we only have one, but we had to make sure we didn't miss any good angles or action.
Have you guys discussed anything about the direction you're taking after Ever After has ran its course, will you be sticking with the concept album approach or something completely new?
Not sure yet. We have so much work to do with gaining fans around the world right now so we're focusing on that for the time being.
Are there any plans to tour outside of Canada and the US to places like the UK -where there is much demand for your band currently?
Absolutely. The world is so big, but we want to see it all. We're getting there. We have already been to South Korea this year and will probably get to Asia again and Australia. Maybe 2013 will be the year of Europe for us?
Since starting in 2000, you've gone from you first EP in 2000, releasing Fix Me in 2006 Platinum records with Masterpiece Theatre and now Juno nominated Ever After, did you ever expect your band to be such a success?
I think if you're going to choose music as a career you have to imagine some sort of success. You grow up watching the Junos, The Grammys, The Brit Music Awards, The MMVAs, etc. It's always part of the dream to get to participate in events like that with other bands.
Finally, what's in store for Marianas Trench for the rest of 2012, what can the fans also expect?
We have a bunch of US shows coming up in May and June, some festivals in Canada in the summer and we're looking at a Headlining tour in Canada for the fall and some more activity overseas.

Unless you want to order from the band directly via their merch site (however being from the UK we're prone to massive shipping and excess charges) so if you want to order Marianas Trench's music, safe bet is Amazon here.
Fun Fact: The lead vocalist for Marianas Trench, Josh Ramsay, is actually the writer behind that smash hit by Carly Rae Jepsen Call Me Maybe, amazing.
