That easy little grin that tugged at the corner of his face suited him. He was adorable and he didn't even realise it, he was lonely, that much was clear, and she decided she'd be the company and friend he needed. Besides, she'd already decided that she enjoyed his company.
"Oh, well perhaps I can repay the favour and help you with some of that. I don't mind."
Her gaze slid back to the boxes as she considered what she needed to do, what would benefit from the most help right now.
"The living room," she decided. "There are a lot of books in some of those that could do with being put on the shelves. If you don't mind helping with this glamorous task..."
Utterly oblivious to her thoughts, her gave her a soft smile. "You don't need to worry about my mam's stuff, love. But thank you for the offer. That was very sweet of you, and it means a lot."
He pulled up the sleeves of his jumper and then glanced over towards the living room. "Your books, you said? Okay, we could do that. Do you have some sort of... system for how you want them placed on your shelves? You'll just have to guide me a bit."
This felt a bit surreal. Not only had he apparently made a new friend, but they were about to spend some time together unpacking a few of her boxes. He could have laughed. If only the other neighbors could see him now... They would be floored, surely.
"Brilliant!" She told him with a smile pushing herself up with her hand flat against the table top. He was very proactive and she liked that.
"I might actually get through this a little quicker than I originally thought." She beamed, leading the way into the living room. She paused in the doorway, her head cocked as she considered the boxes, then the shelves.
"So... I think by author? Genre?" She mused as she stepped deeper into the room, her hands coming to settle on her hips thoughtfully. "Right, genre and then author within that genre alphabetically."
