A couple of Warhammer 40k characters

Good old Uncle Benjen, a shockingly short lived character who primarily exists to give Jon his first of many reality checks and discuss the (false) meritocracy of the Night's Watch before fucking off to parts unknown and reminding us of the sudden and unpredictable nature of death. There are, of course, theories as to where and when he may show up again, but frankly I'd prefer it if he were simply swallowed up without a trace by the horrors beyond The Wall.
