Heâd never really believed in demons.
While agnostic to the idea of spirits, souls, Gods and angels; the thought of evil creatures that rose from the underground had always been a silly one to him. Sure, if one were to believe in good, they always had to believe in bad- but  to him? Those who held onto the sword of purity werenât all that innocent as they might seem. To the hopeful eye, yes, a savior of glory and perhaps even feathered wings of security or parenting nature might be something a person finds to be fair, but there was more to it. While a human could be saved by an angel and a spirit of bliss, perhaps they shouldnât have been taken into the hands of forgiveness and placed upon the earth once more. Perhaps they were malevolent, deviant and why they were put in a bad situation was because theyâd done something tragic to another. It would be an evil deed to restore them when another might be fearful or living in misery because of their actions, no?
Regardless of what he prior thought or didnât think, he was here now- trudging across the islandâs surface and listening to a needless babble continuing on and on. While it might seem strange to him that there was a smaller man appearing to be almost a striking version of himself, yet dabbled and laced with softer features; he decided not to question it for now. Maybe there was a reason that heâd been assigned a person who resembled him, a possibility of a more structured answer. Heâd just have to let time and destiny come together.
âHow long are we going to walk, my feet are tired!!" The squeak of a complaint behind him caused a head turn, and he smiled; features shining as if the sun had just taken itâs rise.
"Oh? I thought you were floating, not walking. Itâs sort of sad, really. As a demon of wrath and Satan himself, I would have thought youâd have more power to you, no? Perhaps youâre not all that fearsome or intimidating as one might think, then? The stories of your kind have been lying to the children of churches and giving them a dose of fear for no reason! How cruel!!"
His response, hardly failing to strike a nerve, was greeted with a brim of rounding pink hues and a high pitch of annoyance.
âYou havenât seen what I can do yet, idiot! Donât judge me so fast!! Iâll show you what to fear and to question! Get a move on and hurry up and find whatever youâre looking for before I get bored and throw your head off your body and show you what wrath really is!!â
"Right, right. I trust you! Iâll keep going and youâll keep following. Fair enough." As he spoke, he turned his head forward again, only to come face to face with an unsuspecting person. Humorous, really. Who knew heâd run into someone so quickly and without knowing?
âAh? It looks like we have a visitor..â
