what kills me is it wouldn’t actually be difficult at all to have an alien companion on doctor who. budget aside there’s still so much left to explore in comedy science fiction, a veritable wellspring of ways to put our position in the universe into perspective, to compare and contrast cultures, and room to do all of that well and with respect. but something tells me that ain’t gonna happen
