I love goh thanking his pokemon for meeting mew I'm glad they have each other <3 they were all so excited to see him when he came running into the park to see them lol

I found Chloe's unsure face as Goh talks throughout this entire scene interesting. Or kind of a face where she's seeing a new side of him and listening intently to him. Can't pinpoint what it was but glad they made her seem a little bit doubtful about him saying this
"yeah! ill leave vermillion city and travel to meet lots of pokemon and trainers. maybe if i learn a lot more ab pokemon and the world, then ill truly be worthy of facing mew."
"i'd depend on ash if he were there, so travelling solo is best.
(aw bless. the thing is I haven't seen goh be THAT dependent on Ash esp in the late journeys. It was mostly working together than dependency but I don't blame Goh for thinking like that lol I'd do it too)

Okay I'm not gonna sit and comment on every single line but I really wanted to include all that dialogue. I really really wish we saw more of the journeys trio having more deep and mature conversations like this, like when they were able to sit and relax with each other. Even watching Chloe and Goh talk like this made me sad for what we could've had lol 😭
"besides. im feeling kind of guilty. its like, betraying a friend."
Now rewatching obviously knowing what's going to happen idk why this line only just hit me now like THE FORESHADOWINGGGG 😭
Again I just love them talking like this? I wish they had more scenes like this in journeys man

I LOVE HOW HE REMEMBERED THEIR PROMISE AND WANTED TO SEE GOH'S SMILE. ISNT THAT THE CUTEST THING EVER. I AM ACTUALLY DEAD 🪦
I stil vividly remember that japanese sub episode of this scene where he says "ya-ku-soku" (which means promise I'm pretty sure) if you haven't seen it please do because it's so cute 🥺🥺 the way his japanese VA says it is 10000x cuter icl (sorry Sarah but I'm glad she maintained his tone)

GIRL. PLEASE don't hit us with 'isnt that it?" you literally had a moment reminiscing that moment with Ash while you were getting annihilated by mew 😭 😭 😭 😭 (I wish ash knew about that. Eheh)
ALSO THE WAY ASH WAS LEANING FORWARD AND STRAIGHTENED UP WITH THAT HAPPY SOFT SMILE ☺️ they're so adorable man I love them

Why didn't they hug. LET THEM HUG MAN. THEY HUGGED WHEN GENGAR GIGANTAMAXED AND WHEN they get sepearted for the biggest moment of the serious anipoke won't let them hug in celebration. 🙂🙂🙂🙂 (will never get over goh not seeing ash vs leon in person...) hugged over screen for real let me be deluded

Okay but for real I'm glad we at least get to see some bonding going on here. I am telling you if anipoke handled this trio better they would've been a much more fun group of friends, even without that they give off best friend vibes without trying much, so imagine if the anime actually DID TRY (WELL. they tried sometimes. Just if they tried more 😂)
Okay I'm gonna do a major skip for the sake of minimising the post and my image limit but it gets to the more important bit I suppose (side note for the chunk I missed out: goh meeting abra as a kid was so cute)

Okay.. Maybe I'm over analysing this. But I couldnt help but raise an eyebrow.

Goh's watching him very intently here with a smile on his face while Ash isn't looking back. That was such an uneccasary rhetorical question but honestly either way Ash's best non-pokemon human partner is probably Goh. So not to worry Goh lol
They have a heart to heart about thanking their pokemon for meeting each other and how much they've grown which i won't type out but was very sweet 🥹💕 Like I know I'm not shutting up about it but I wish we saw more of them like this whenndnfnd
Oh and we know this part: They see a shooting star and this shot sees Goh looking at the moon for a decent length of time.... that's significant later. Goh tries to tell Ash the start of his desire to go on a journey but can do it. Then he turns and says
"The stars are really pretty tonight aren't they?"
LIKE WHAT. WHAT THE HELL. THE FACT HE WAS SHOWN LOOKING AT THE MOON HERE TOO BEFORE. I CANT REMEMBER WHAT THE SUB SAID HERE but the fact the dub script said literally the exact words of the stars being pretty is INSANE. like all of these collective hints make me so mad 😭 😭 😭 😭 ARGHHHH
"Goh, im going on another journey (the fire craking) with pikachu of course."
He couldve not picked a better time to say that FR 😭 💀 💀 💀 and the way he had to add that and pikachu of course just seemed to make it worse...
the way he blinks rapidly 🥺 you really haven't seen this side of goh to Ash for a LONG TIME if not ever. That familiar taste of betrayal wont go undetected by him 😢

I'm gonna be honest, at first watch I was feeling really bad for poor Goh that he feels he got betrayed, but after all that they've been through together I found it hard to understand how Goh would feel this upset by Ash not telling him— or maybe I should think that's ALL THE MORE reason to be. Also i probably can't understand how it'd feel to loose someone in that way you have been with for so long, who announces they're going elsewhere, so I can't really comment on it 😭 it must be terrible for him tho to feel that betrayal for someone he's grown so attached to and dependent on 💔
Tell me. Why the HELL. THIS WAS THE SAME LIKE IN THE DUB AND SUB. TELL ME WHY THIS IS A ROMANTICALLY ASSOCIATED PHRASE AS FAR AS I KNOW. like saying we are through in friendships feels sort of strange lol... Combined with the stars comment. COME ON GUYS.. COME ONN 😀😀😀😀

Idk something about this kills me everytime.
After Chloe talks to him he has this really serious and regretful face and shouts Goh's name almost like he's in disbelief they argued. THEN THE WAY THE SCENE SHOWS HE RUNS IN THE RAIN BY HIS SHOES, THEN THE FULL PICTURE, OMG HE IS RUNNING SOFAST FOR HIM 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 calling his name and it was so sad oh my gosh

Sorry kind of had to skip a little, but when they met in the middle that was deadass romantic don't even with me right now 😭 and the environment being so pretty compared to the rain, man do anipoke like their pathetic fallacy lol
I know some people like this scene but idk, I've not been huge on it 😭 I like how Goh's sort of in forcing a barrier, warning him not to closer but it also felt kind of awkward to me. Idk I'm probably just not with it 💀

Then unaware Goh actually heard:
"im pretty sure butterfree wings repel water so they can fly in the rain without any problem at all."

I LOVE HOW EASILY pokemon brings them together 🥺 and the smile goh gives him. It reminds me of when Goh used to brag about the pokemon facts he knew as a kid in pokemon camp, where everyone thought he was so strange lol, but he knows Ash will find it interesting too, and of course he does. 💕🫂
