Yesterday, I was too stuck in my feels that I didn’t post. But yesterday was the 10 year anniversary since my brother was taken away and allowed passage into paradise. 10 years really flies by fast, like a lightening bolt striking the earth. I miss your smile, your laugh, your sarcasm, and your need to protect your younger sibs. I miss seeing you be a great father to your son, and friend to all. Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if you were still here. Would I be the same? Would would I be different? I don’t know, but life certainly hasn’t been as great as when you were here. Less than a hour ago, I had to euthanize my baby boy. Earlier this morning, he came home after days of being out in the streets limping with his jaw dislocated and fractured, upper pallet broken in half, and a broken right leg. Shortly after arriving back home he started to seizing, I panicked and took him to the local clinic. There they gave me two options, one I couldn’t afford with a possibility that he still wouldn’t survive or euthanize him, a heart shattering choice. He was having trouble breathing and was in so much pain as we didn’t know about his internal injuries yet.
