Wait how would the Obey me guys react to MC being actually afraid of their Level 4 forms at the start? Especially if the MC has a religious background
Like they get up in the middle of the night to get some water, they go, hear the classic sounds of Beel eating they think “welp, it wasn’t my turn today to make sure he didn’t eat everything tonight” they turn around to say hi and they find him in his Level 4 forms for the first time.
And immediately drop the cup they were holding and start screaming like they are witnessing a brutal murder. Later, Lucifer finds them crying in a corner with Beel and Mammon trying to calm them down, full on panic attack at that point.
If I could write the story myself, I would definitely add more horror elements like this. Having some consequences and danger adds the kind of drama I crave in this kind of supernatural romance stories. All characters should have flaws, it’s what makes them interesting, and their different forms all behave differently. So seeing these different sides really adds a dynamic that I wish the stories had.
So to answer your question for Beel specifically since you mentioned him, his level 4 is almost entirely feral. He only acts on his base sin instinct which is to consume. Seeing MC during one of his fridge night raids, he may even add them to his selection of food, and he WILL chase MC. So for Beel, MC has to somehow breakthrough to his humanity within for him to no longer wish to eat them as a true monster. Imagine he may not even recall when he’s level 1 again, or he feels extreme guilt for having the desire. Level 1 and Level 4 Beel are completely on opposite ends, where level 1 Beel wishes to protect, where Level 4 is the predator.
