2023 Walk Through the Old Testament

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to recognize your authority as the sovereign Lord over every part of our lives. Teach us not only to hear your word, but to let it shape our thoughts, actions, and decisions. Give us willing hearts that say, “You have spoken, and I will follow.” Amen.

Lord, we have only to look to you, the author and finisher of our faith.  Help us in our unbelief; surround us with your presence, and guide us in keeping our eyes on you today. Father, in you we find hope and promise in your will for us even amidst our struggles. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Dear God, help us to embrace compassion. Teach us that a tender heart reflects your love, not weakness. Give us eyes to see the needs of others and hearts willing to feel deeply and respond with care. Break our hearts for what breaks yours. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us not grow immune to your voice when it calls for change. Break through our complacency and stir our hearts to act on what you have shown us through your word. Give us the courage to move from conviction to transformation, one step at a time. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to keep our focus on you when life feels overwhelming and circumstances worsen. Strengthen our faith, so it does not waver under pressure but grows through every trial. Give us the courage to trust you, even when the path is hard, and to remain faithful to our calling. We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear God, help us to not ignore your word, even when it convicts or challenges us. Give us a responsive heart that listens, humbly accepts truth, and chooses obedience over comfort. We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lord, today we praise you for your promises fulfilled and thank you for your faithfulness, even when we are unfaithful.  We pray for our nation today and stand in faith, trusting you to restore our nation from a culture of ungodliness to faith in the living God through the person of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Lord, I am forever grateful for the person you have made me. You have blessed my life and I pray that my life is a blessing to you. But, Lord, I also pray that I would decrease so that you would increase. You are glorious, perfect, and worthy of all praise. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, please help us to be content in all situations and with everything that we have. It is easy to fall into the trap of envy, and we reject that desire. Bless our hearts with contentment, humility, and peace. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Dear God, your word says to trust in the You and lean not to our own understanding. And in all our ways acknowledge You and You will direct our way. Today, we pray that we could surrender to your will and that you alone would direct us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, let our hearts be in alignment with yours. We want to serve you and obey your Word. Let us remember what you have done and know that you will do increasingly more! We ask all these things in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus, amen.

Lord, lead us not to our own understanding but instead let us lean into you. We trust you to direct our way. We pray this all in the mighty and unending name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we are reminded to not let our hearts be troubled. Our faith in Jesus Christ and in You is what sustains us and guides us. Lord, carry us through the difficult days and celebrate with us on the joyous ones. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Loving God, please guide our families to serve you. Create Christian homes that honor you, speak truth in love, and stand firmly on the Bible. Guide our steps each and every day. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen!

Father God, help us to not take your word lightly. When the final judgement comes, allow us to be counted among the remnant of your true and faithful servants. We joyfully look forward to your new heavens and earth were there will be no more crying and weeping. What a glorious day that will be!

Lord God, we come to you with repentant hearts. Forgive us when we just go through the motions instead of truly worshipping you. Change our hearts, Lord. Renew our spirits. Give us a willing heart to respond when you call us to help others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Father God, thank you for sending your son, Jesus. His selflessness made it possible for us to receive forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life in your Holy Presence. This is your free gift to us, but we must accept it. We say YES, Lord!
