2023 Walk Through the Old Testament

Lord God of all I pray to you to place in me the firm and honest desire to please you and shout your Holy Name in all that I do, say and think. This I pray in the miraculous name of your son Jesus Christ. Amen

Lord God Almighty, you are a promise-keeper. You are entirely faithful to keep your promises. We know that you show unfailing love to all who seek your help, whatever the circumstances. We lift up your Holy Name in praise. Amen

Almighty God, you alone are the Most High, supreme over all the earth. Fill our hearts with gratitude and joy as we remember all that you have done for us. We are so blessed! Make your face shine down on us. Bless us with your salvation. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

Lord God, we question why the wicked live painless lives. Their bodies are healthy and strong. They are not plagued with problems. They are cruel and yet have everything they want. You are the righteous judge. You will bring justice to the wicked. You will lift up and glorify the godly. In Jesus name. Amen.

Dear God, we call on you because you are our only hope. You have delivered us in the past and we look to you again. Remind us of your ways. We cannot do this on our own. Allow us to bring praises to you as you are the provider of protection and savior of our souls. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord God Almighty, we rejoice in you. You hear and answer our prayers. You are a father to the fatherless; a defender of widows; you provide families for the lonely; you set prisoners free; you provide for the needy. You are the God who saves! Bless us with your mercy. In Jesus name. Amen.

Lord God, you are exalted above the highest heavens, your glory shines over all the earth. You are our righteous judge. Why should we be afraid? You are our strength and our fortress. We are secure beneath the shadow of your wings. We lift you up in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lord God, you are our helper and protector. When someone betrays us or hurts us in any way, prompt us to pray for them and forgive them. Remove any anger or bitterness we have for them. Create in us a pure heart and a right spirit within us as we place our faith and trust in you alone. In the strong name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

Almighty God, when we cry out to you from the pit of our despair, you never abandon us. You come quickly to lift us up. We take joy in doing your will. Your unfailing love and faithfulness fill us with joy and gladness. All praise to our savior and our God. In Jesus name. Amen

Heavenly Father: You gave us the Psalms to help us worship you and to know you better. Lord, we want to open our hearts to you just like the writers of the Psalms. We want to follow you and share you with others. Thank you for this beautiful love letter to us. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father: You love whatever is just and good; your love fills the earth. In you our hearts rejoice as we trust in your holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us for our hope is in you alone. In the strong name of Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father: There is no one like you in heaven or on earth. You are the God who saves, and we put our hope in you. God, you are our strength and shield, and we trust you with all our hearts. We thank you and praise you. In the might name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father: The earth is yours and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to you. Lord, we often seek security in the things of this world but remind us of who gives us power to be successful. Your unfailing love will keep us from stumbling. You are trustworthy. We seek you, praise you and rejoice in you. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father: You are a holy God full of grace. Lord, at times our pride gets in the way of acknowledging our sinful ways. Yet, by your mighty power you rescue those who seek refuge in you! Remind us of your unfailing love and forgiveness through you son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus strong name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge you as our sovereign creator. Lord, we like to be in control and have our own way. But we ask you to remind us to include you in our plans and help us to serve you. You are trustworthy and long to bless us. Thank you for being in control of all things. We pray this in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank you for taking us back in your arms. Forgive us when we do or say things against you. We are sorry for our complaining. Thank you for friends that support us and intervene in prayer to you. Let us never doubt your power. Help us to remember you with worship. Bless us again. We pray all things in the strong name of Jesus. Amen
