2023 Walk Through the Old Testament

Almighty God, when we cry out to you from the pit of our despair, you never abandon us. You come quickly to lift us up. We take joy in doing your will. Your unfailing love and faithfulness fill us with joy and gladness. All praise to our savior and our God. In Jesus name. Amen

Heavenly Father: You gave us the Psalms to help us worship you and to know you better. Lord, we want to open our hearts to you just like the writers of the Psalms. We want to follow you and share you with others. Thank you for this beautiful love letter to us. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father: You love whatever is just and good; your love fills the earth. In you our hearts rejoice as we trust in your holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us for our hope is in you alone. In the strong name of Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father: There is no one like you in heaven or on earth. You are the God who saves, and we put our hope in you. God, you are our strength and shield, and we trust you with all our hearts. We thank you and praise you. In the might name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father: The earth is yours and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to you. Lord, we often seek security in the things of this world but remind us of who gives us power to be successful. Your unfailing love will keep us from stumbling. You are trustworthy. We seek you, praise you and rejoice in you. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father: You are a holy God full of grace. Lord, at times our pride gets in the way of acknowledging our sinful ways. Yet, by your mighty power you rescue those who seek refuge in you! Remind us of your unfailing love and forgiveness through you son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus strong name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge you as our sovereign creator. Lord, we like to be in control and have our own way. But we ask you to remind us to include you in our plans and help us to serve you. You are trustworthy and long to bless us. Thank you for being in control of all things. We pray this in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank you for taking us back in your arms. Forgive us when we do or say things against you. We are sorry for our complaining. Thank you for friends that support us and intervene in prayer to you. Let us never doubt your power. Help us to remember you with worship. Bless us again. We pray all things in the strong name of Jesus. Amen

Infinite, Omni-present and All-Powerful God, help us see you in everything! Thank you for your great love! You put us here for such a time as this! May we submit to your plan for us today! In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen!

Loving Father, thank you that we can come into your presence because of your son, Jesus; that we can bring you our questions, doubts and fears. We trust that the outcome of our circumstances is in your capable hands. In Jesus's love, Amen.

Dear Heavenly and Loving Father, you see all the ways governing the world we live in and you orchestrate our steps with your divine plans. May we acknowledge that your ways are perfect. Forgive us for complaining and for choosing our own daily paths. May the desires of our hearts be the desires you put there. For your glory, through Jesus, Amen.

Almighty Creator, you are merciful and just! Search our hearts today to see if our daily lives bring You glory.  Forgive us where we are selfish, neglectful or prideful. Show us areas where You are pleased so we can continue them and bring others to Jesus because of Your great love working through us. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Lord, help me today to surrender my emotions to you. Forgive me when my words and behavior are not aligned with you. As I enter into your presence, I pray that your peace will surround me. Convict me to bite my tongue when my emotions rise and help me be mindful in speaking words of encouragement and affirmation to everyone. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Lord, as we surrender to you today, we pray that you will give us a heart that breaks for the poor, the orphan, and the lost.  Show us where we can reach out in our community and our sphere of influence to make a difference in the life of a child and those who are hurting.  Thank you for your comfort and faithfulness as we cry out to you.  May we also remember those in need. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Lord, I see the chaos and depravity in our nation and the world, and I pray that many will seek your face and receive your forgiveness. You are ever patient with us, but you alone will judge all people according to your timing. Help me, Lord, to boldly proclaim your name in this fallen world. Give me the words to share my story of redemption so that your light will shine brightly in the darkness. Amen.

Dear God, we love you and thank you for our redemption through your Son, Jesus Christ. Forgive us for the times we rely on our own strength and give into temptation. Your faithfulness always shows us a way out of temptation so we can endure. Great is thy faithfulness. May our confidence remain in you so we will have hope in our circumstances and for our future. Amen
