    He laughed at that, sounding impressed as he spoke. “Kaelie. That’s nasty. I agree, though. Something worse would suit him more, but spitting in his food is rather amusing… I do hope you don’t do that to me.” Maybe he’d have to start watching what he said.     The warlock let out a pained groan and grabbed a pillow, blindly tossing it at Kaelie. “No, there really isn’t.”

In spite of her anger over the way Magnus spoke about Elliott, she couldn’t help smirking at Magnus’ amusement. ‘I would hardly tell you what I’d done if I planned on doing the same to you, would I?’ She tutted. ‘No, I’ll think of something else for you.’ His aim was badly off since he wasn’t looking what he was doing, and Kaelie didn’t even need to duck to avoid the pillow.

“ NO NOT EXACTLY. I did everything he told me to do but in the end she walked out on me. Because I was behaving so unlike MYSELF. Sorry I interrupted your, uh date.” 

‘Yes, you didn’t strike me as the kind of guy who could pull that off. Maybe you should stick to what you know.’

‘You’re offended that I didn’t ask you before going on a date with Elliott? I’m sorry, did you have plans with him already?’ She grinned teasingly. ‘Are you missing your kisses?’

‘I take you for a moron who somehow landed himself an incredibly powerful job. If it’s any consolation, you’re surprisingly good at it.’
